I can buy sugar cane at the grocery store. And not the fancy one either.
Melissa's distributes it. Look near the bananas at the store.

RE:
Where can I buy pure, whole sugar cane?
I am looking to buy sugar cane - not cane sugar or refined sugar or raw sugar - but the WHOLE STALK. Long An Egg in Westminster, California. They own Ramona Duck Farm and a 120 acres of sugar cane plantation in Calexico , California. They supply fresh sugar cane stalk for the ethanol people and drug company. Look up their phone # in www.egglab.com . They have been in business more than 20 years

How much are you looking for?
What state are you in?
As a cash crop, sugar cane is only grown in 4 states - Hawaii, Louisiana, Florida and Texas, plus Puerto Rico.
I've seen sugarcane stalks in Asian markets and I'm not in any of those 5 locations.

Those two descriptions of sugar have no relation to each other. Granulated refers to the form, the size of the crystals it comes in. Cane refers to what plant it came from, the other one sugar comes from being sugar beet. If a recipe calls for granulated sugar, it means white granulated sugar from either sugar cane or sugar beet.
