Hey! Well, I'm writing a story about vampires and I needed some quotes/references from the Bible against those who suck blood and do devilish/demonic things as vampires do.
I am not too familiar with the Bible, myself, and I would really appreciate some help. Any other religious quotes/references from other religions are welcome. And could you state the references/where I could find them myself, please? Thanks a bunch! :)

''THA'': Thank you SO much! You don't know how much all your research/knowledge means to me. Thanks!

''Tylr Durdn'': *lol* I shall look out for it, but wasn't there a book called that? I'm sure I've seen a book called that...

"THA": Once again you have all my most sincere gratitude. This helps in many, many ways and for once I can feel deeper meaning in a story of mine and that’s mostly thanks to you.

[You said this:
“IF YOU wish more on the stand of JWS in the medical field for research please write a PS--And I will supply what you need!”]

Does this mean that there’s more from a Jehovah’s Witness standpoint? Well, as with the rest of what you have supplied me, you have my deepest thanks and that would be wonderful!

--THESE DEAL with the misuse of blood in a religious setting!

--Here are some direct references of not eating blood of any kind in the Law that Jehovah God gave Moses--It is animal blood in this reference:

--(Leviticus 17:10-12) “10 “‘As for any man of the house of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who eats any sort of blood, I shall certainly set my face against the soul that is eating the blood, and I shall indeed cut him off from among his people. 11 For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for YOU to make atonement for YOUR souls, because it is the blood that makes atonement by the soul [in it]. 12 That is why I have said to the sons of Israel: “No soul of YOU must eat blood and no alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst should eat blood.””

--13 “‘As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust. 14 For the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said to the sons of Israel: “YOU must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.” 15 As for any soul that eats a body [already] dead or something torn by a wild beast, whether a native or an alien resident, he must in that case wash his garments and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening; and he must be clean. 16 But if he will not wash them and will not bathe his flesh, he must then answer for his error.’”

--In this next series of Scriptures presented by the Physcian Luke who also was disciple of Christ and a Bible biographer & writer---This text includes human blood as well as animal!
---The discussion centered around circumcision & how some Jewish Christians wanted to do make that part of the Christian requirement , BUT this as you will see was ruled out:

(Acts 15:18-20) “. . . 19 Hence my decision is not to trouble those from the nations who are turning to God, 20 but to write them to abstain from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.”

.........28For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

--HOWEVER in Roman times , history shows that drinking blood by gladiators was a way that they felt enhanced their blood sport!

*** w04 6/15 p. 21 par. 8 Be Guided by the Living God ***

--- How did the early Christians understand and act on God’s guidance about blood?

Recall Clarke’s comment: “Under the Gospel it should not be eaten, because it should ever be considered as representing the blood which has been shed for the remission of sins.” History confirms that the early Christians treated the matter seriously. Tertullian wrote: “Consider those who with greedy thirst, at a show in the arena, take the fresh blood of wicked criminals . . . and carry it off to heal their epilepsy.” Whereas pagans consumed blood, Tertullian said that Christians “do not even have the blood of animals at [their] meals . . . At the trials of Christians you offer them sausages filled with blood. You are convinced, of course, that [it] is unlawful for them.” Yes, despite threats of death, Christians would not consume blood. God’s guidance was that important to them."

--MORE ON THE THREAT upon the early Christians-- to eat blood:

*** w00 6/15 p. 29 Questions From Readers ***
--Do Jehovah’s Witnesses accept any medical products derived from blood?
(The answer is of length but I have only concluded the specifics to your question)

"...........Most people in ancient times would not have been troubled over the consuming of blood, as we can see from the writings of Tertullian (second and third centuries C.E.). Responding to false charges that Christians consumed blood, Tertullian mentioned tribes that sealed treaties by tasting blood. He also noted that “when a show is given in the arena, [some] with greedy thirst have caught the fresh blood of the guilty . . . as a cure for their epilepsy.”

Those practices (even if some Romans did them for health reasons) were wrong for Christians: “We do not include even animals’ blood in our natural diet,” wrote Tertullian. The Romans used food containing blood as a test of the integrity of real Christians. Tertullian added: “Now, I ask you, what sort of a thing is it, that when you are confident [that Christians] will turn with horror from animals’ blood, you should suppose them greedy for human blood?.....”

--IF YOU wish more on the stand of JWS in the medical field for research please write a PS--And I will supply what you need!

PS--
--IN BEING very direct we do consider the taking of human blood no matter with what instruement, somewhat of a vampirish act--without the horror!
--But in the past when it was and sometimes is still forced upon us even in the USA --we consider it as serious as a RAPING HORROR on our being!--Especially on our children!

truthfully, you opt to regulate your wording only extremely: Hebrew Bible Roman Catholic Bible Protestant Bible The Jewish scholars finished the version of the Hebrew Bible in about the 0.33 century. That textual content is protected in both the RC and Prot. Bible. The order of the books is different, because of underlying assumptions. The Christian Bible (the recent testomony) wasn't extremely nailed down till almost the 10th century or so. After that, it became locked in. This became finished in a series of Church Councils. this textual content is an similar in both the RC and Prot. Bible, and the former testomony is somewhat a lot the same in both of those Bibles, except that the order would nicely be somewhat different. the in problem-free words huge difference between the RC and Prot. Bibles is the presence of the Apocrypha -- quite a few books that were unknown in Hebrew, yet were protected automatically in Greek language translations of the former testomony that were commonly use around the time of the early Church. That Greek translation of the former testomony (referred to as the Septuagint) became so prevalent (maximum Jews did not on the on the spot keep in mind a thanks to talk or examine Hebrew anymore) that whenever you come across the former testomony quoted interior the recent testomony, that's continually the Septuagint textual content they're quoting.

To my knowledge there are no references to vampirism in the Bible. There is the mention of not drinking of an animals blood when you eat it etc. but that would not apply. As to demonic things, the only reference I am aware of is where Jesus cast the demons out of someone and again, this is no example of vampirism.

Rent the movie: "Night Watch"
(It's in Russian, with Subtitles, but it's an amazing movie!)

This isn't much, at all, about the Bible versus so to speak, but is a damn good movie on the same basic principle I think you are heading towards.

Nothing about vampires that I recall, but vampire bats were originally Vegetarians and they are birds.

Blood is supposed to be burn with fat as a sweet smelling offering for the lord to savor.
