Do your best at all your subjects. Always do all the work that is asked of you and do it on time. Join some clubs that interest you. Take advanced classes your senior year if you can. Do not get in the habits of procrastination, or truancy. Remember even if you get a bad subject or teacher it is just for a short time and you will move on. Failing a class does NOT HURT THE TEACHER , it hurts you. Too many students make the mistake of thinking that ditching a class or refusing to do homework makes a statement. It does not. It only holds you back.

Know that everything you do from this point forward "counts" toward your future, and put forth far more effort than you need to. I don't mean that you shouldn't have fun too, but you need to start thinking about opening yourself up to as many options in life as possible in your future, and every bad grade or missed experience can narrow those options.

Be yourself, and try to make lots of different friends.
I know it sounds like the same old cliched advice for high school, but it's so true. You never know who you'll need to help you out in the future.
