Difficult. Holding hands is a bit dodgy I think, that's quite an intimate thing to do isn't it? I have to be honest I would feel uncomfortable if any of my male cousins held my hand, it would feel a bit odd, friends or not. You sound quite intelligent you must know if she is flirting with you - have you given her any cause to think you have feelings for her? I would brush her off next time and just make a joke of it, something like 'Hey, hands off, people will be thinking you're my girlfriend and we can't have that can we?' Romance between cousins is a 'no no' to me. it's a bit too close to home, a bit weird.

woaw too close kid dont allow it,its against the law unless any plans of children are severed by surgery.I know someone who did this and to get each other they lost every family member in the process the girls mum went as far as to say she never had children. She had decided on jst the one child and plough all her energy and time into her.She became so mentally ill from it she was in and out of hospitaland very reclusive.Too much hurt is put onto the shoulders of others dont allow it hun, stop meeting her. xxxx

She feels secure with you as her protector and admires you as a person. Doesn't have to be anything wrong with that. Or, she may have a slight crush on you. If so and you're the older, take her hand, take her arm but don't take anything.

i have a cousin too and we are very close,we go everywhere and do everything together, but sometimes its hard too see things, but she may be sending mixed emotions, the best thing you can do is have a good talk with her on this sudden situation and ask her direct why she has gone so affectionate all at once,,,hope things go well

Sounds to me she fancies you. It's ok for a cousin to fancy you as it isn't incest.
If you don't want her to feel that way towards you, then explain to her that it's making you feel uncomfortable as to what her intentions are towards you. Tell her that you only wish to remain very good friends and don't encourage her actions by accepting them. When she holds your hand again, pull away and laugh about it.

It's difficult to say without information on your age. It's okay for her to like you and hang out with you, but it's not okay if she wants romance (unless you're Rio Linda). Be straight up with her, but kind.

I think she's being nice to you cause she wants a favor. Or maybe she did something that will upset you and is trying to be nice so you won't be so mad when you find out.
