And one day you will, but there's little I can suggest from here, other than the famous line given by a traffic cop to a pedestrian in New York City who asked how to get to Carnegie Hall:

"Practice, practice, practice."

How hard you need to push down on the gas and breaks varies depending on your car. The best way to get better at driving is to gain some confidence. You can try practicing in empty store parking lots or do what I did and take a class. When I was growing up I was in two very bad car accidents and as a result I was terrified at the thought of driving a car. Before I went away to college I realized I had to learn how to drive. I forked over about $250 dollars and got an instructor. She got me through it and I got a perfect score on the driver's test. I was eighteen years old! Now years later I am a great driver.

So get out there already!

Don't push hard on anything just press the brake and gas slowly and don't wait until the last minute to turn and or stop then u will have to push the brake hard and you won't get your license. I took my driving test for the first time when I was 19 I never studied or anything went in took the written and then took the driving and I passed and I had no experience in driving just relax and listen to the person riding with you (remember to wear your seatbelt and no music)

First off.. You are not going to like this but... if you are asking these questions then you are not ready to drive alone yet. That is the purpose of getting a learners permit first

Get your permit and start driving with a friend. The answers to your questions will come with experience - not with Yahoo answers.

There is a bonus too.. you will be less likely to have an accident if your license is based on experience. As the OTHER guy.. I will appreciate that.

Don't worry.. you will pull up in a car someday.. be patient.

A test to know if the driver can really drive? If you can make a stop without your car jerking, without your passenger knowing you're stepping on the brakes but your making a stop. That's what you call a smooth driver ; ) Excess things you need to know; don't make a wide turn. Pay attention to the lines i.e you can't make a turn on a solid line.

If you've never driven before, you need someone to go with you for your first few times out in the car.

Try doing all those maneuvers in reverse. I've found that it really helps when you go back to driving forward.
