Wash your hair, put in some styling product. Then, braid your hair in several small braids and dry naturally =)

Use a waver- not a crimper, there's a big difference, but a waver which looks like a three barrel curling iron. Put a styling cream in your hair first to make it easier to work with, then hairspray each strand before using the waver on it. Keep in mind that this can damage your hair so put some heat protecting spray on it before, like thermasilk.

Well what I do all the time is take a shower at night before I go to bed and than fling my hair up into a messy bun. And when you take it out in the morning its wavey just don't over brush it and it will be fine.

Let your hair air dry or blow it dry until it is still a little damp. Section your hair & braid each section. Leave the braids in for a few hours or overnight. Before removing the braids, apply a bit of texture spray.

well it depends on how much time u r willing to spend on ur hair i would advice u to put volumizing moose when ur hair is wet then put it in a bun and in the morning just put some texture wax or sth on ur hair and voila or u can just curl it and run ur fingers trhough it and put some hair spray and u will get similar results
i hope this helps

you have a few options:

-buy a three barrel curling iron, and use it on your entire head (kind of time consuming... but w/e)
-buy curl-enhancing spray and try the whole bun when wet idea again (probably won't work too great but its worth a try, john freida makes good stuff)
-get a perm
-use a 3" or more curling-iron and curl your entire head, then separate the curls
-embrace your straight hair

Two words (HOT RULERS) and you should take Vidal Sasoon's vilvet hot rulers to protect you're hair from the heat I have silky hair my self and it does magic.
1) you should wash your hair and put conditioner on it.
2)wait until it becomes completly dry then brush your hair.
3)If you want large waves like jessica simpson's use the large ones.
p.s: for best results use them for 20 minutes .

what works for me is I put my hair in a bunch of random twist which i keep in place with little butterfly clips in the morning a little after i shower and then LIGHTLY blow dry a little. and then on the drive to school i take them out. it works for me most mornings and looks great!
good luck!
