do you think it looks well made? have you ever ridden it? (if so how comfortable was it?) would you recommend any other bikes around that price? (in the argos catalogue)

Honestly?

Its main problem is that it is trying to do too much for the money. A reasonable set of discs will cost as much as the bike. Full sussers should not be considered until you are thinking of spending about £700 min.

You want an XC bike. You want to spend about £200. Stick with a hard tail and V brakes. Try Trek, Claude Butler, or Giant.

Luck

purchase a bike from a authentic motorcycle keep. i do no longer not sleep north, yet paying for from Canadian Tire merely would not attraction to me. it really is not any longer a lot which kind as which keep will decrease back up the guaranty the right. At a authentic Raleigh broking service, you're going to get that service. I genuinely have a Raleigh hybrid in the states & the broking service service has been tremendous. the merely way i ought to purchase a Schwinn should be from a authentic motorcycle keep. BTW...Graham R. is faulty. An 8 speed rear cog isn't a freewheel yet a cassette hub. the more advantageous perfect of both.

Personally, I think this bike is trying to appeal to buyers with flash. By adding disk brakes, suspension, and a funky desight, Raleigh is hoping to make the bike look higher end. In reality, they are making the rest of the bike cheaper to pay for it.

I think you are better off buying a better quality bike for similar money without all of the "bell and whistles." You can always upgrade it later.

To much for the money = cheap made = poor results.

For that budget get a bike that has no suspension (or only front suspension). Keep it simple.

I would take a look at brands as Specilaized or Trek. They have budget bikes that are better made and will give you a better result for the money.

alright for a kids bike or an adult starting out. maybe look at the muddy fox range instead of raleigh. Enjoy your riding.

sorry, but that is just another cheaply made bike for kids that will break soon after you buy it, it is way too heavy for serious riding, and will cost you just as much to fix it as you spend on it

you need to spend at least 400 to 600 US to get quality and durability... check out KHS, Trek, Specialized, and Giant

it's a pretty good bike, but it depends on what type of biking you want to do, for a beginer though it seems good, but for an experienced rider the kona is better. hope this helps.

I prefer the more classical bike shape to that one.
