Podiatrist seems to think it could be sesamoiditis but i'm worried it could be arthritis or gout. It's not very swollen. Im only 24.

Go get a second opinion...arthritis doesn't burn.

No, it's not likely gout. I have a similar problem currently in my right foot. I use aspirin and try to keep the area mobile so it doesn't stiffen up. (move your toes around). A change of insoles has also helped. Only two toes and the ball still cause pain.

A gout attack is so painful, it will bring tears to your eyes! I had my first attack at 21.

Hi Kellie, it sure sounds to me like Sesamoiditis, and this painful inflammatory complaint is common among young athletic people,if it were gout you would really know about it because it is far more painful.

try a neurologist it may be more serious
