Hi,
I am thinking that they might be a fake site, where they can take the money and forget about any deal or over charge the credit card ?

You are right to be concerned. Please check any on-line dealer at http://www.1bizrate.com or http://www.resellerratings.com before you deal with them. There are some excellent companies out there, such as B&H Photo. See: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H_Photo_Video_Pro_Audio who many of us buy from all the time, so don't be afraid of on-line buying. Just check first.

Stick with trusted businesses when shopping online. Amazon.com generally has among the best prices for digital cameras and one of the best reputations for online shopping.

BH Photo is one of the places I buy stuff from on a regular basis:

Best Buy doesn't always have the best prices, but it's certainly a place you can easily find an offline store for if you need help.

It's good to worry about this.
Your first warning is If the price seems too good to be true.
the second thing you can do is check the company at www.resellerratings.com

But there are many fine on-line retailers that offer excellent prices, return policies and service. You can't go wrong with places like bhphotovideo or Newegg, but there are a number of others.

If this is your first camera, you should absolutely go to your local camera store. Don't buy over the Internet and don't go to a big-box store that only offers cheap prices and no help.

Your local camera store will show you cameras, answer your questions and will be there for you when you need help.

I get all my camera gear from BHPHOTOVIDEO or Amazon (yes Amazon). Beachcamera and RitzCamera have been around for quite a while too.

Always check against the regular stores like BestBuy, Walmart, CircuitCity, etc.

You're right to be worried!

The very definition of pocket-friendly, the 300 HS measures 2.2 by ability of three.6 by ability of 0.8 inches (HWD) and weighs purely 4.3 oz., you will hardly even notice it. it truly is obtainable in purple, black, and silver, and seems very almost precisely like its youthful brother, the Canon PowerShot Elph a hundred HS ($199.ninety 9, 3.5 stars). the biggest elegance difference between the two is the texture of the 300 HS—its end is particularly coarse, very almost like sandpaper. It makes the digital camera much less complicated to grip, even nevertheless it feels unusual; the 1st reaction of each physique I exceeded the 300 HS to on the instant ran their arms over it interestingly.

I have never had a problem, they ship fast, and their prices are very low. Sorry, I don't know how to make a link.
