Yes, voodoo dolls are real.
However, they don't really do anything.

They are real in that you can create a doll or poppet in the methods prescribed by the Voudon religion. Whether or not they actually work is a matter of personal belief.
It's not something to do lightly though, it's not a game. Voudon is an actual religion and it's not a toy. If you want to hurt somebody who's hurt you leave the poppets alone. Let the person who's hurt you live their life. Don't taint your own with petty feelings of revenge.
I believe that we all have within us the power for change whether that be physical, emotional, etc. But this doesn't mean you can just make a doll stick some pins in it and somebody will get hurt. It's not like in the movies. If you truly believe something then, yes, it works for you. But not like you're probably thinking.
And no, it's not the power of Satan either. Some people don't realise that just because they believe in Satan, doesn't mean he actually exists. Same with Jesus, or a Christian God. They can be as sure as they like that these things are "evil" and that the only way is through Jesus but the truth is that there have been other religions around for thousands and thousands of years. No one religion is more correct than another and no matter what they say there's no "one true religion". It's all about what works for you.
Do some research on the different spiritual paths out there and find what works for you.

Voodo dolls are a fictitious creation based on the real cultural practices of Voodoun in Haiti. That's where we get zombies too.

The people who practice Voodoo believe in them. I think Magic, Praying, etc all have a chance of working. I have seen and done some things that could have just happened to coincide by pure chance, but then again it could have been something else.
Here is a link to some scientific evidence of a Magic or Psychic powers.

Rumor has it that the only way for a voodoo doll to really take on the full powers over the person it impersonates, the impersonated must believe in the voodoo doll itself...the powers behind the doll.

Dont know, never played in the Devils backyard like that before, but I do think that things of that nature (Oyigie boards etc.) are Satans domain, and I think that playing with such things could open a whole can of worms you are not prepared to handle....

With any other religion or something like that, it works only if you believe in it! It does work but it has to really be what your into! Don't really recommend even dabbling with it! Karma and such works it's way a lot into magic!
