This is a good point and the fact that your interested in the developing causes of AIDS is great. Still, HIV/AIDS victims have many other reasons and factors for having it, and i dont think it should be directly linked with the Catholic Church.
First of all:
-The Church does not support premarital sex. If they are truly holy and following the Church (and they are because they are obeying it) they would not have sex until marriage. Knowing this, we would come to the conclusion that they do not have AIDS because of sex. The only other reason they would get it is because of a blood transfusion, and the chances of those are very little, because u dont need blood everyday.
Therefore, the Church is not spreading AIDS. It is telling people who are unmarried to stop having sex-which is actually preventing the spread of the disease.

Didn't you just ask this over in religion? A lot of the countries experiencing the worst of the HIV epedimic aren't majority-Catholic countries. Even if the catholic church wasn't oppesed to birth control, a lot of men would never use it with their wives anyway, and there are still the factors of poverty and poor medical care. Check out the link below to a very interesting video.

No.
Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.
If the world is going to ignore teachings about chastity (1 & 2), then why is the world so upset about teaching artificial birth control (3)?
People who are already ignoring the more important teachings about chastity (1 and 2) should have no problem ignoring the less important teaching of artificial birth control (3).
Even if a person infected with AIDS was to use a condom to help protect his or her spouse, condoms are not 100% effective (read the box) and the spouse may be infected and die anyway. A person who truly loves their spouse would not endanger them in this way.
In regards to sex outside of marriage, the Church makes it a practice not to tell people how to sin. Fornication with or without a condom is still fornication. Adultery with or without a condom is still adultery.
With love in Christ.

This is ridiculous, even from an agnostic standpoint. The church's teachings do, yes, prefer a more natural form of family planning, however the church also teaches that you should maintain monogamy and maintain a non-sexual state until marriage. If everyone listened to these teachings sexually transmitted diseases would be much less threatening and wide spread.

oh please. give me a break. in the first place,if you're not married and having sex, that's against the rules in the catholic church. so don't blame aids on the fact that catholics do or don't use condoms. if they follow the church laws they don't even have sex. are you gonna tell me that if a catholic teen chooses to have sex before marraige she's gonna say "wait, don't put that condom on. it's against my religion."?
you're an idiot.

How many times are you going to post this question under different names???
People who have sex with people they shouldn't have sex with ( not their spouses) are responsible for whatever diseases they come up with.
The only innocents are the faithful spouses and children who end up with the duiseases.
People are responsible for their own actions AND the consequences....unlike what our society teaches by denying any personal responsibility.

If people were religious enough not to use a condom because of their religion, then they would be religoius enough to follow the other rules of their religion and not have sex until they are married.
