Or does your religion have the confidence to know that people will eventually "see the light" of their own accord?

No, it doesn't. The religion/Philosophy of Life which I follow encourages us to patiently wait for people to ask questions, then we share, but never with the purpose of converting others. This method shows respect for the Free Will of every human being. But this does not necessarily mean that the Philosophy of Life in which I follow is the Best Way of Life for everyone.
Each and every person must find his or her own way of lessoning their sufferings and dissatisfactions in life; to acquire for themselves Peace of Mind, and Happiness.
*May you find what you are looking for.
*May you be Happy, and Content in Life.
*May you be Healthy - physically, mentally and emotionally. May you be free from all suffering, and harm. *May you Be Happy !

Thank You for giving me the opportunity to provide you with an answer to your most excellent question.

Have a wonderfully optimistic week/wkend !

Jesus commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel to all the nations of the earth:

Matthew 28:19-20a Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

As a Christian, I am expected to tell others about Christ's atoning death on the Cross and how they can be set free from their sins. My witnessing may take the form of words as well as actions, depending on the situation and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

And as far as others eventually seeing the light "of their own accord," it seldom happens that way. As Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

It is the Word of God that convicts people of their sins and brings them to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Well, I can't preach as I'm a lady and we are not to be preachers, but I can tell people about Jesus, He commanded us to do so after He was resurrected and before He ascended into Heaven. People won't see the light unless someone leads them to it.

No, I don't "preach the word", but I think children should be told that they don't have to live in fear of their parents' religion. I wish someone had told me.

I'm an atheist, and the fact that religions still exist in the 21st century points to the inefficacy of people "seeing the light" of their own accord.

the comission that Jesus said was this : Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Theaching them to observe all things whatsoever i have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. A-men'.This is Matthew 28: 19,20 he has commisioned me to teach and preach and be a light unto the gentiles

Yes it does - we are commanded to preach the Gospel to every nation. We are also told not to hide our light under a bushel, yet not to be like the pharisees in our worship.

People need to be told of Jesus, continually and with loving intent. Confidence is not Godliness, as it tries to usurp humility.

GOD Laws are made of three Books: The Old Testament, The new Testament and Quran as a conclusion all originated from the middle east. How can you understand GOD LAWS with out reading GOD Conclusion?
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

Not require, but encourage to share the word of God since faith comes by hearing.

Nope, Judaism used to proselytise a long time ago (more than just a few hundred years back), but they decided that it was rude, especially since we know exactly how it feels.
