1. It's a continual conversation. How often do you talk to your best friend or spouse? Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what is going on.
2. I often pray in the shower, sometimes while doing dishes. But not required BEFORE I pray.
3. No Christian prays the same way unless we are praying a set prayer (like the Lord's Prayer). Even then we pray in our own language -English, Spanish, German, Chinese, etc.
We are not tied to recitations or rote prayers but talk to God the same way we would talk to our father, mother, spouse or dear friend.

Praying is very much a personal thing - some people may only pray once a day - or not even that often. Some people pray a lot. Usually, it's something learned as a child - you say your prayers at bedtime as a child. Then, you pray when you personally need to - if something is bothering you, if you have a problem, if someone you care about is having a problem or is sick. God is there to help us - we pray for help and for guidance. We also pray as a thank you for what we have been given - family, good health, etc. There may be Christians who wash before praying - I wasn't taught that you had to wash before praying. I'm sure there are also different styles of praying - most Christians I know, including myself, pray as though they are actually talking to God, but with reverence and respect. Most Christians read the Bible - it has difference "versions", but it's all the same thing. I hope this helps.

Well, we don't all pray the same. Mostly because there are different things going on and our prayers are not by rote. We don't have specific prayers we pray, except for the Lord's prayer and a few like that. Usual times are at getting up and lieing down to sleep. But not exclusively so. We actually pray far more often. I meself talk to God often throughout each day.. We don't neccesarily wash before prayer either. Some may.

1) There are many types of Christians and they all pray differently. Most Christians do not have set times of prayer each day but most Christians are required to go to Church on Sundays. Catholics are also often required to attend church on some weekday mornings and these rules often change if it's a holy season like Lent.
2) Not necessarily. There is the symbolic dipping of the fingers into holy water but this is not the same as the wasing rituals common to Islamic faiths.
3) The prayers that Christians use are all different as there are many, many different kinds of Christians. Some prayers, like the Nicene Creed are used by Roman Catholics, and some Orthodox Christians, but not by Protestants or Presbyterians. But there are no hard and fast rules for which prayers Chrstians use. The Our Father and the Hail Mary are prayers that most Christians will know, but I think that most Christians, when they pray, sort of talk to the god they believe in rather like a conversation such as "Dear God, please protect my mum, and my dad, and please help me to do well in school." Religion in the Christian world is often very informal based on a "personal relationship with Jesus."

I was raised Catholic so that's where my perspective comes from but I am no longer practicing.

1. There is no mandated number of times a day a Christian is supposed to pray. Christian view them selves as having a relationship with God so when they need to talk to him, they do. Many people set aside a time to pray every day and some just as the mood strikes them.
2.You are not required to wash.
3. All Christians read the same book. However, the Catholic version of the bible has more books or sections to it and Moromon (who some say are Christians and some say are not, bu this is not the place to argue that) read the book of mormon in addition to the bible.

Praying is really a personal thing for each christian. some only pray when they want something (which isnt good) but some pray alot, especially if they are required to in a certain more strict religion. And most people dont wash themselves before they pray. in fact ive never heard of that. maybe in some "cultures" Some people start off with dear god, lord, or many other sayings. some people just do the "now i lay me down to sleep" thing. like i said most praying tottaly differs from person to person. but most just thank god for their blessings and ask for little things.

My prayers are continuous. If I have a need for a particular problem, than I will spend more time with that matter in prayer.

We do not have a ritual of washing, other than daily hygiene (bathing or showering).

It depends on what is happening in your life. Some Christians battle things like child abuse, spousal abuse, alcoholism, drug addictions (Rx and OTCs), lost of job, wife or husband deserting them, some deal with disease where they lose quality of life, etc. The usual things that any human can come against in the course of living.

The only difference is we have a higher power to get us through it along with family or friends.

As for the Bible, there are many versions out there. Each person chooses which works best for them depending on whether you are Catholic or Protestant. Some versions are good, some not so good. I prefer the King James Version and the New King James Version. I also have a parallel bible I use for studying the word.

It's not about how many times. I like to think that I'm in constant prayer. I look at prayer as a conversation with God. I'd like to think that I'm in constant communication with Him. Sometimes I'm not though, but I try to talk with Him throughout the day as often as possible.

No, I don't believe so.

No, not everyone prays the same. I think it depends on your relationship with God. And every relationship is different and unique. So actually everyone prays differently. It's all about how you and God like to communicate with each other.

Good question!

Let's not get it twsited now...

SOME Christians are the most pious people lviing and SOME are not so pious! This goes across the board regardless of religion. As a Muslim, I feel stronger about our method of praying but God loves prayers period. Besides, it's not about how you pray, or how many times you pray but what you do afterwards.

Peace to all my brothers and sisters in the lovely human family!
