There was a show on MTV that had a girl on there that did that like a week ago. It was really interesting, but she went and sought out extreme therepy for OCD and another condition but I dont' remember that name.
It's not good for you to pull out your hair. If it's not ready to be pulled out then you might not get hair to grow back.
Like others have said, look into getting some medical attention. It should help.

Try using bad tasting shampoo. When you feel fidgety become aware of it and do something that requires the use of your hands. Wear a hat or something that makes you realize what you are doing every time you take the hat off. Make your hair look really good so you don't want to eat it anymore.

No offense, but that`s kind of gross :P
In the past, I had a friend that did that same thing. It wasn`t something she did regularly but she did like every once in a while. Hmm, maybe your should see a doctor or counselor and ask for a way to stop. I haven`t heard of this case being common, I actually haven`t heard about many people doing this. Eww but yeah. Good Luck :)

if it is just a habit not an ocd thing i would try what i did.
Tye a rubber band around you wrist every time you find yourself pulling out you hair or even thinking about pulling your hair out snap the rubber band. hard enough to feel pain but not so hard that it REALLY hurts. eventually you'll begin to relate pulling your hair out with pain.

Maybe you just like to do things with your hands, so try keeping your hands doing different things at different times. And next time you feel yourself grabbing at your hair, just think of how weird it is, and take away your hand. If you have long hair, put your hair up so it won't be as easy.

In all seriousness you may have a disorder and you may need to see a psychiatrist. My mom would pluck out her hair from her head, eyebrows.
and she had bald patches. I wish the best and God Bless.
