To get my stomach and hips back to where they belong, do I need to lose the weight first, then work them, or work them and lose at the same time. I've asked alot of people and no one seems to know what they are talking about. Even trainers at my gym have conflicting answers! I know other women have done this before me, I just need to know how!!

to be honest i lost the weight first and then went to the gym i breast fed until about 3 weeks went by and my baby was lactose intolerant, So i lost some weight doing that, then when i couldnt do that i started dieting and got to the weight where i wanted to be (took a couple months)
Then i hit the gym to get a "tighter" body that i had before. Working muscles and not doing cardio is hard cause you will not lose the weight as fast. Only do cardio and eat well, then the pounds will shed.

I gave birth to all 3 of my children via C-section. I recall having a bulging belly and even the incision area bulge. Don't get worried because you will lose it and get back to normal. It will take time though, so be patient. Just consider that if did take 9 months for your body to add the extra unwanted weight and fat. It will take the same duration to be back to pre-pregnancy size. I breast fed which did help me to lose weight but not the fat. That came off gradually. Within 2 months, I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight but close to 9 months to fit into my size 4 jeans. Just be patient and get lots of aerobic exercise. It will go away! Good luck!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)
