Scientists have recently discovered global warming on Mars due to dust storms. I think we should Put ALgore on the next shuttle and send him to Mars to present a power point presentation to the Martians.

This is obviously a result of the Martians uncontrolled use of SUV's.

Wait a minute. This just in. There are no SUV's on Mars, yet they still have global warming. Kind of blows a few holes in Al's theory about earth's global warming doesn't it.

Media Shows Irrational Hysteria on Global Warming

"The Public Has Been Vastly Misinformed," NCPA's Deming Tells Senate Committee

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 /U.S. Newswire/ -- David Deming, an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma and an adjunct scholar with the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA), testified this morning at a special hearing of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. The hearing examined climate change and the media. Bellow are excerpts from his prepared remarks.

"In 1995, I published a short paper in the academic journal Science. In that study, I reviewed how borehole temperature data recorded a warming of about one degree Celsius in North America over the last 100 to 150 years. The week the article appeared, I was contacted by a reporter for National Public Radio. He offered to interview me, but only if I would state that the warming was due to human activity. When I refused to do so, he hung up on me.

"I had another interesting experience around the time my paper in Science was published. I received an astonishing email from a major researcher in the area of climate change. He said, "We have to get rid of the Medieval Warm Period." "The Medieval Warm Period (MWP) was a time of unusually warm weather that began around 1000 AD and persisted until a cold period known as the "Little Ice Age" took hold in the 14th century. ... The existence of the MWP had been recognized in the scientific literature for decades. But now it was a major embarrassment to those maintaining that the 20th century warming was truly anomalous. It had to be "gotten rid of."

"In 1999, Michael Mann and his colleagues published a reconstruction of past temperature in which the MWP simply vanished. This unique estimate became known as the "hockey stick," because of the shape of the temperature graph. "Normally in science, when you have a novel result that appears to overturn previous work, you have to demonstrate why the earlier work was wrong. But the work of Mann and his colleagues was initially accepted uncritically, even though it contradicted the results of more than 100 previous studies. Other researchers have since reaffirmed that the Medieval Warm Period was both warm and global in its extent.

"There is an overwhelming bias today in the media regarding the issue of global warming. In the past two years, this bias has bloomed into an irrational hysteria. Every natural disaster that occurs is now linked with global warming, no matter how tenuous or impossible the connection. As a result, the public has become vastly misinformed."

Al Gore is a nut case that has made millions with the Global Warming lie. There were two weather experts on TV last night that called it another cycle that the earth goes through periodically. Weather changes happen all the time in history and are not caused by cow farts or human producing carbon dioxide with breathing, cars and factories.

Sounds like Glenn Beck. Actually in the mid 90's when people decided they wanted to actually try to get a human there, they said that because the temperature was so low they wanted to establish facilities for mining and what not and to release the CO2 into the atmosphere to get the temperature to a suitable one.

Ahhhh the good ole days...

who wants to go back to Mars that is where we came from in the first place
the survivers who managed to escape before its atmosphere was destroyed by a cosmic collision ,came here and colonized Earth .and their offspring is about the do the same thing they probably did on Mars here
have you ever wondered why Mars was called the God of War.???

and who cares what people say it wont make the slightest difference to Climate change ,and that is real enough ,whether you like it or not
thousands of people have died already and millions have lost everything .
but that maybe hard to imagine in North America ,but not the whole world is North America.

Despite the most desperate efforts in character assassination, the fact remains that Al Gore is way smarter than any Neocon, has a higher moral stance, and is more of a patriot. His "Inconvenient Truth" film is accurate and informative, and is being shown and will be shown to many millions of school children because it presents a clear and honest explanation of an important scientific problem in a way that is supported by the very large majority of the credentialed scientific community.

Suck it up, guys!

lets at least let him finish messing things up here before he goes. It would be a shame to see all of his counterproductive efforts be unfinished.

I also agree with The Cheminator. There has to be room for more than one on that voyage. Hmmm, Hilary and Al working together on something......why, there is no end to what they couldn't do!
