Well you are right. We are all SPIRITUAL son and daughters of God. I understand where you are coming from. I asked the same question, well nearly. Jesus was Gods son because he was there to witness the making of the world and God loved him and Jesus was the first spiritual son of God and the most treasured. It has come to my attention that some people think God and Mary were the biological parents of God. I do not know where this comes from. I do know that God and Jesus love us very much and I love them.

Jesus IS God. While he was here on earth he was called the "son of God" because he was concieved by God in the virgin Mary.
The Bible says that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh (timothy). If Jesus is eternally the son of God, than that makes Jesus eternally submissive or inferior to God.
The word of God does not contradict itself. Jesus is more than just the son of God he is God.
Why else would this verse call him the mighty God, the everlasting father?
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6 KJV)

No. While we're all God's creation, only Jesus Christ was a begotten (meaning "in the likeness of") Son of God. God was IN Him. However, once someone becomes a Christian, then they become children of God and in essence become sons and daughters of God, but not in the same sense that Jesus Christ was.

But yours is not a virgin birth right ? Ok dont mean to be rude. Jesus was the only begotten Son by God via the Holy Spirit conception of Him in a Virgin's womb.
We are the children of God because He is our creator. He is Spirit. We are Spirit. We are Spiritual beings in mortal physical bodies but was once immortal. Was created immortal. Nevertheless born in the lmage and likeness of God. We are the physical manifestation of a PERFECT idea of God. Our dear Heavenly Father. The BEING that gave birth to our spirit and souls.

no,jesus isn't son of god.
god can't be like humans, that he can love aa woman, and marry, and have sex,in order to have a son,or a daughter.
wouldn't u ask yourself, when god will choose to marry a woman, what features will he choose?
a white blond,or black woman?
a fat or thin?
short or tall.
god don't deal like humans.
if god chooses a certain woman, with certain properties,so it will be a holly woman's characteristics, right?
and it can't be.
jesus,is only a prophet.
his way of coming back to life was only a miracle, that no man touched his virgin mother, and that's a miracle.
god can NEVER,have a son or a daughter.
but god also love all human beings, not as if they're his own sons or daughters, but as his creatures, that he created.
he is so so SO MERCIFUL AND PASSIONATE.
you can see this in every thing around u,and even in your own body.
it's all blessings.
even if something bad, happened to u,this is more merciful than something more worse that could have happen to u instead.
and also if something bad happenned to u,and u become patient, god will surprise u with something better later on.
and remember that, for everyone to tase happiness,he must know the tase of sorrow and saddness.
u can look for islamic sites,to know more, and i promise that u'll find answers for lots of ur questions, and u'll be completely convinced.
or u can contact me ,i'll be so pleased of course.

A literal interpretation is that jesus was an immaculate conception born of God and Man (Mary). One view hinges on the "I am the way, the truth and the light, no one get to the father but through me" What does that mean?
Seems to me it limits god to one "prophet" Jesus the man. If you believe in Jesus your in, if you don't your not. Kind of disheartening.
I grew up in a stauch Lutheran family and we thought catholics we cultists. (which they are to some degree, in fact many religions are cultish in many ways..) ie charismatic leaders, strict rules and dogma. I've since become what my philosophy of religion prof called a "reverent agnostic".. I believe fully there is a loving, caring creator that I can have a personal relationship with. And I don't have to go through a middle man to have it.
In my view we are all sons and daughters of the divine. In fact in light of the spirit we all are part of the divine.
In AA we talk about chosing our own conception of a higher power. I seen and heard many things over the years that tells me with certainty that God exists. I don't have to buy any religion (ie Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism) to have a relationship. It faith that makes it work.
We are not gods, but we are part of the oneness that is God.

No, Jesus is just a man, but Jesus of Nazareth is the son of God in human flesh. We are all gods children, but not in the some way Jesus of Nazareth was.

Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God. Jesus is the Seed of the Woman, born without sin nature. A Messianic prophecy from Genesis 3 that is fulfilled in the virgin birth, conceived of the Holy Spirit.
The rest of us are born with a sin nature. But everyone brought forth in this world has seen the True Light (spiritually). So everyone is a child of God, but when people sin against God, their sin separate them from God. So a person isn't a child of God when rebelling against God purposely.
Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God, we must be born again. Born of His Spirit, so we are whole again; body, soul & spirit. (People die/blind spiritually when they purposely rebel against God). God calls us His children who are born of God (spiritual birth), by the will of God.
