Even with free will a perfect God would create a perfect universe which would remain perfect forever.

So either the world as it is right now is perfect or God is imperfect.

Correct?

Who can say what perfect is? A winter coat is perfect for keeping you warm in the cold, but not good for keeping you cool in summer. My perfect world would be different from anothers, and so on. Give me your definition of perfect. Maybe the world was perfect before written language came to be. Before man wrote a book, and placed himself on the throne of God. Before the dirty lie about Eve was propagated all over the world. Maybe things will improve when people stop using the devils hand book.
Nice to see you out and about.

Nope. Your argument is fallacious.

A perfect universe would not include the possibility for disobedience to the universal order.

Perfect free-will REQUIRES the possibility.

The third, and obvious choice, that you did not include is that God created the universe perfectly. He then introduced perfect free-will.

This does not make God imperfect. It makes US imperfect as a result of going against God's perfection in the Universe.

False.
God is perfect and the universe was created perfect, but man fell. God knew that the only satisfaction he could get from his creation would be if his creation decided to love him, so he gave his creation a choice.

Satan originally fell because he couldn't handle having to yield to God. His pride got the best of him. God knew this would happen, but he was willing to pay that price for free will.

Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so. From God's perspective, everything is perfect. From our perspective, the world is imperfect, because it is only Wednesday, and not Friday. However, that is our judgement, not God's. To God, all days are the same, Monday, Friday, whatever, but to us, Monday is the start of the work week, Friday is the end. So basically, the world is imperfect because we over-complicate our lives then whine about it.

Peace!

Free will, a theory full of irrelevancies and imperfections, is the get out of free card usually used here. However, I notice that some people believe that the universe is perfect. These must be the people who buy everything hook line and sinker except for the they-are-all-sinners line.

Mmmm....not exactly, but I'm not a theology major.

As far as I'm concerned as an adventurist, naturalist and experienced gardener, yes...all of the various flora and fauna I see are indeed..."perfect."

They are "perfect" in their shape and function, not to mention their physical beauty.

At the risk of being overly simplistic:

- broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, and Brussels sprouts are "perfect" vegetables, in that they are well-known protectors against the development of cancer.

- tomatoes are "perfect" vegetables in that they contain lycopene, which may have twice the punch of another well-known antioxidant betacarotene.

- cannabis is a "perfect" weed, in that it's psychological benefits can be enjoyed by ingestion, not just smoking (which is not particularly beneficial). It is not physically addictive. Period.

As regards human beings, I can't help you as much.

All babies are born as "blank slates" with equal potential for good or evil, based upon their subsequent nature and nurture.

Obviously, not all babies are born in "perfect" health, in SPITE of the health of their parents.

That would seem to support the idea that not all creations are "perfect."

Correct. But something that is perfect for one thing may not be perfect for another. The universe is perfect for God's purposes, but not man's.

Correct. The world is perfect, just the way God wants it. Never mind people who say otherwise.

Um...no... No one is perfect except for God or Jesus. (for Christians) And also, the world is definitely NOT perfect. There is murdering, kidnapping, and all those dangerous things going out there. How could it be perfect? God is perfect(supposedly), but us humans are inperfect(supposedly).
