ive heard raw egg whites are good but i also heard about the new organix coconut milk that also has egg whites, but someone told me that egg whites can`t penetrate the hair shaft so should i use the organix or not, because my hair is damaged so i need something that`ll penetrate and moisturize well? thanks

Egg Whites Are Another "Old Wife's Tale / Urban Legend" That Still Gets Around. Egg Whites Do Contain SOME "Amino Acids" And "Polypeptides" (The Building Blocks Of Protien) So They Can Penetrate And To Some Degree "Repair" The Hair. But Mostly, It Just Coats The Surface Untill the Next Shampoo. They Are "Messy" And "Tricky" To Work With (Who Wants "Scrambled" Egg On Their Hair?) Stick With "Modern" Conditioners. (as For "Coconut Oil/Milk" (Or ANY "OIL") They May Make Hair Smooth And Shiny But, They Can Cause "Scalp Eruptions" (Pimples) On A Lot Of People.- Use At Your Own Risk!

They are old tales. Not the truth. .Neither of them help.. None of it penetrates the hair shaft. They do not have the chemicals in them to do so. They sit on it thats it.. If u REALLY want to help your hair. Go to a salon Buy some deep conditioner use it once to twice a wk and call it a day... I am a Hairstylist .I know what I am talking about.. gl
