The will is not visible, but can be proved through action. If you are walking, it is evident that you must have willed yourself to walk. I know this, even though I can not see your will. If someone asks show me the spirit, it is essentially like saying, show me your will. It is impossible to show somebody your will, but it can be proven after the fact based on the actions undertaken.
