First, the t-shaped cross that religions used wasnt really how it was when Jesus was crucified. it was just a 1 piece stake!
I agree with you, Jesus is neither a baby nor that helpless person on the cross.
Why hold dear something that killed the person you love anyway? I mean, if someone has been killed by electic chair should the people who love him wear pendants like that? Funny...

If you are truly seeking God through His word and you know what He thinks about homosexuality as stated in His word, why would you allow such a question to come to mind. Jesus said, "a house divided against itself must fall" So you should know that He wouldn't come to earth and become something that He is against. Jesus said that if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Why are you calling God a hypocrite. And there is nothing that insinuates that Jesus was gay because of His clothes. And there were also women with the disciples. How do you get that Jesus was tortured by His father on the cross for three days? Your problem is that you haven't studied the word of God good enough to put your mind at ease with your false accusations and information that seems to have been pulled out of the air and not the bible. Your best bet is to stop looking at God as if He doesn't know what he is doing. There is no evidence at all that is overwhelming. The only thing that is wrong here seems to be your thinking process on how you come to these unlearned conclusions. I'm sorry but your question only shows that you haven't been reading or maybe comprehending as much as you claim. Stop everything and sincerely pray about this. The best thing to do is give your life to the Lord and then study His word. That way you will have the Holy Spirit to help you comprehend what you are reading. Because it is only obvious that you don't see the truth in Gods word right now.

Though some major religions portray Jesus on the cross, I disagree with the practice. Jesus rose again in glory and sits at the right hand of the Father. They should display an empty tomb.
However, I do not judge those who display Jesus on the cross. It is not my place to judge them. Many believe the crucifixion is what gave us our salvation. They are not wrong or "going to hell" for portraying Jesus that way, it's their choice.
Granted, it was necessary for Jesus to go to the cross for our salvation. But, many were crucified in those days. Only One rose again in power and glory and defeated death and the grave. That was Jesus Christ.
The cross was not a 'religious' symbol until Jesus died on one. I prefer to displaly an empty cross, because Jesus is not on the cross any more!!

There are various opinions on this subject...I can understand both sides of the issue.
Jesus proclaimed from the cross.."It is finished"...He came the first time as a sacrificial lamb. The next time...as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
Wheather one chooses to wear a cross or not...We most certainly should remember the cross every day of our lives.
For a good read check out the book... "The Cross Centered Life" by C.J. Mahaney.

Helpless??? Jesus was never helpless. He could have come down from the cross if He so chose. But He didn't choose to, He chose to stay on the cross and suffer for our sins. By having Him on the crucifix, we are reminded of what He did for us, how much He loved us, what ours sins did, that He destoyed death. There is no disrespect in that.
God bless,

Wrong. Too many of you want to deny what Jesus Christ went through. You'd rather not remember, and you belittle His sacrifice.
To actually see Jesus hanging on the cross gives us a constant reminder of what happened in the past and the present suffering of Jesus. Jesus was an innocent man with the purest heart, and He decided to die for all of us. He loved us then and Jesus continues to love us today.
Seeing the crucifix gives us encouragement that Jesus is always with us, and there is life after death. He rose again as He promised.
Lifting up the Cross shows that we stand behind Jesus Christ. We understand that by His suffering we suffer along with Him. We must be obedient to Jesus and listen to Him. We all have our Crosses to hold high.

We know that Jesus is no longer on the cross, but we are called to remember his sacrifice. The crucifix is a memorial of the price he paid for our sins. But we should also be reminded that he conquered death.

I heard this same argument from a respected professor at Virginia Theological Seminary. He said the crucifix misses the point of christianity.

Yes, it is very wrong. Jesus came off the cross & rose again & is still alive today. He conquered the cross & death.
JESUS IS ALIVE !

Fortunately it's just a made up story. Not people being crucified, even people named Jesus (pretty common name, actually), that happened, but the whole king of kings supernatural thing. So don't worry.
