A bit of salt won't kill you, in fact you need some salt in your diet.
Whats wrong with both? After all you put some salt in porridge for instance.I like to melt some butter with a bit of brown sugar and syrup then pour over and mix up.Use home made popcorn of course.Then I add a little salt also to finish it off.

Good question!
My first instinct was to say, salt, but the more I think about it. I would rather eat fiddle faddle, kettle corn or caramel coated popcorn than regular movie popcorn.
So SUGAR is my choice.

salt is a little bit better on popcorn. But don't put too much it can make cholesterol go up...
