KB is correct. Sin separates us from God. To go one step further in the answer, that is why Jesus died on a cross. Being God made flesh, only He was able to pay the penalty for our sins. So....if you believe in Jesus and repent of your sins, when you stand before God at judgment, He will see the righteousness of His son. All those who reject Jesus will stand before God alone. And they will have no advocate to speak for their sin. A person with sin cannot enter heaven; therefore those who have rejected Jesus as savior will be lost forever.

Sins are not problems. They are just sins.
If you take a look at the Bible, and imagine how people were living before God gave the commandments to Moses, you'll understand that God made those rules to improve the kind of life from society. Even though, God knew we would sin. And if we regret, He will forgive us. So, what's the problem?

Because sin separates us from God. God is holy, and no sin can dwell in his presence. This is a problem for God, because he loves us so much and only he can fill the void in our hearts. He knows this, but we dont. We go from sin to sin, thinking that it will fill the void.

Sin also costs us alot more than you would think. For temporary pleasure, we get broken homes, abused children, sick bodies. Even if I was not a Christian, I would still stay away from sin, because it makes you get old, sick, alone and grumpy!

If you have no problem with being old, sick, alone and grumpy, and if you have no problem with being separated from God, then I see no problem with sin.

I'ts a problem because christians are trying to guilt us into thinking we have an original sin in order for us to pray at their church. Sin is caused by our own poor decision making, like falling off a cliff, it is not a natural, fated action, but within our control.

Because it is sentenced to die, so every sin filled mind is a suicide and will continue to die until the love of sin is destroyed. Sin and death will not be destroyed (or overcome) if one believes in it and loves sin.

Since you ask will endeavor to be brief: Sin is defined, in part,as succumbing to your desires.

You are born a Creature which is not very flattering but true and you can know this without reading the Bible but through sheer introspection. The Bible instructs you how to change.

Some of the responders have said essentially they are ruled by what makes them feel good. They are creatures without knowing it, they are saying the operation of their brain is commanded by titillation's, succumbing to desires. We were made creatures by God Almighty Himself. And you are charged with elevating yourself from that status.

Part of that elevation would be to move away from that which is defiling before God, and defiling of you as a human being.

Sin is a problem because it separates us from God. The ultimate goal of Christians is to commune with the spirit.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It hinders or stops development in our relationship with God.

Say you and me are having a conversation. Now every time I say something that upsets you its like turning a little away from you. Eventually if I do enough wrong, my back will be facing you and its pretty hard to have a conversation/relationship if my back is facing you.

The only way that I could turn back and face you is if I humbled myself and asked for forgiveness.

Sin not only cuts our relationship with God, but with others as well.

Sin is only a problem if you believe it exists.
