Yes, this is an excellent question. As he was the master of using illustrations, and in fact in Matthew 13:34 and Mark 4:34 we can see that he felt that illustrations were a necessary part of his preaching and teaching work.

If anyone was going to illustrate the trinity, what would they use to illustrate that sort of intertwined close bond - I think most people would say that if it were to be illustrated in the form of a family relationship, the thought of triplets would be used, and it would need to be identical triplets. Thus giving the idea of a co-equal, etc, type of relationship. However, when Jesus described his relationship with his Father, he never once spoke of them as brothers. Yes he described their unity, but in a different type of family relationship, as Father and Son, and with the Father knowing things that the Son did not (Matthew 24:36) and with the Father's will and purpose being greater (Luke 22:42)

Jesus wanted us to get to know his Father, and illustrations were a core part of his teaching, so his use of a Father and Son in discussing his relationship is one of the proofs that show me that they are not part of a trinity.

The Father was not made, nor created, nor generated by anyone. The Son is not made, nor created, but begotten by the Father alone. The Holy Spirit is not made, nor created, nor generated, but proceeds from the Father and the Son. There is, then, one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three sons; one Holy Spirit, not three holy spirits. In this Trinity, there is nothing before or after, nothing greater or less. The entire three Persons are coeternal and coequal with one another. So that in all things, as is has been said above, the Unity is to be worshiped in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity.

Christ did not say, "Sit down and write Bibles and scatter them over the earth, and let every man read his Bible and judge for himself." If Christ had said that, there would never have been a Christianity on the earth at all, but a Babylon and confusion instead, and never one Church, the union of one body. Hence, Christ never said to His Apostles, "Go and write Bibles and distribute them, and let everyone judge for himself." That injunction was reserved for the Sixteenth Century, and we have seen the result of it. Ever since the Sixteenth Century there have been springing up religion upon religion, and churches upon churches, all fighting and quarreling with one another, and all because of the private interpretation of the Bible.

Christ sent His Apostles with authority to teach all nations, and never gave them any command of writing the Bible. And the Apostles went forth and preached everywhere, and planted the Church of God throughout the earth, but never thought of writing.

there's no trinity in the Bible because the trinity god was concocted by pagans as far back as Babel. Do a net search and find out the truth!
the Romans were pagans and when the Roman government forcibly took over the early Christian religion they imposed all of their pagan rituals and beliefs onto it. this is what Paul warned us about at 2 Thessalonians 2:3

agape!

Because the trinity was not something he believed in. It is not real. Instead, God gave us the illustration of a Father and Son relationship between himself and Jesus and Jesus continued to use that illustration when describing their relationship.

It would have made some of his statements contradictory
You know "the Father is greater than I"
"Concerning that hour nobody knows, neither the Son nor the Angels but only the Father"

My guess is that Jesus never illustrated the Trinity because he wasn't part of one. That concept crept in with the Nicene Council.

Exactly right! He taught his disciples everything else, he even taught them how to pray! (He even said at one point that the "Father is greater than I" I gues he was saying he was greater than himself! /sigh it just doesnt make sense!) You would think he would have taught them about the Trinity if it was true and something as important as that would be for them to know. He didn't though. The trinity is not true as it is NOWHERE in the Bible. The Bible clearly says NO MAN has seen God at ANY Time! Everyone agrees regardless of what religion you are that Jesus was here on the Earth, so there you go! If no man has seen God, and Jesus was on the Earth, they can NOT be the same!

The concept of the trinity was not agreed upon until long after the death of Christ. When Constantine the Great adopted Christianity as the official religion of Rome, there was no agreed upon view of the actual nature of Jesus, or even what books belonged in the New Testament--there were many that were not included in the final version. Many thought of Jesus as a great teacher, but not divine. Others thought of Him as God Himself, others as the Son of God. So Constantine ordered the bishops of the church to convene at Nicea to determine this. After a great deal of debate, the concept of the trinity was agreed upon. If you'll remember, Jesus only claimed to be the Savior once--when he told the Samaritan woman at the well "I am him whom you seek."

Why is it so hard to understand the trinity. I think it's as clear as chocolate pudding.
The big guy "god" was nailed as the father of the kid, but it was the ghost who did the dirty work. They named the kid Emanuel and never used the name again except in a Christmas song.
Now the father ( who is not the father ), the ghost ( who is the father ) and Emanuel are all the same guy.
What's so hard to understand ? A quart of vodka will make it easy to understand.

His life was an illustration of the trinity. Through his healings God allowed it, Spirit gave the power, and He performed them.
