Yes, you could die.

But if you are thinking about trying to commit suicide by overdosing on them, I would urge you not to. First of all, I would suggest talking to someone about how you are feeling. I think you will find that there is someone who truly cares. Second, if your medicines aren't working, your doctor could change them to something that might work better. Third, if you do attempt suicide by overdose and it doesn't work, you will probably just end up really sick, and maybe permanently damage some of your organs. In short, you will have more problems than you started with. If you are considering suicide, please talk to a friend or family member, or call the suicide prevention hotline. If you aren't, I am sorry I wasted your time. Actually, I'm not. Someone out there might need to hear this. :-)

All drugs have the capability of being misuesed. It really depends on the type of anti-depressants you have been prescribed.
Antidepressant drugs like amitriptyline, desipramine, and nortriptyline can cause irregular heart rate, vomiting, low blood pressure, confusion, and seizures. An overdose of antidepressants also causes symptoms similar to those seen with anticholinergic drug overdoses. Which bring on: seizures, abnormal heart rhythms, extremely high blood pressure, and coma.

Yes, you can, but please, by all means, don't. You'll die or become severely sick by doing so. Always follow the directions on when to take it and how much every day, usually one pill a day. You can find out more about the side effects of medicines if you want to.
