Try saying "There's no reason for you to be concerned about that matter."
It's just a more tactful way of telling someone to "F" off and die than the way you proposed.

I just politely say "I'd rather not talk about it." If someone doesn't accept that, then you can be rude.

That kind of depends on the question.
I would go with, "I'm sorry I'd rather not answer that question."

"I'd love to know why you think xxxx is any of your business"
"I don't know you well enough to discuss that"
"I consider the matter to be private."
"I don't feel comfortable discussing that with you"

"Why do you want to know?"
" I can't say/I don't say."
"I am not in liberty to disclose that info."
" This matter is rather personal and I wish not to discuss it."

YOU CAN TRY: "I'M SORRY, BUT THAT IS REALLY NONE OF YOUR FU**ING BUSINESS." OR "I'M SORRY, BUT I'D RATHER NOT DISCUSS THIS/THAT WITH YOU".
THE WHOLE "SORRY" THING DOES WONDERS.
