i use tesco and dont pay a deosit also used aa car insurance direct line and never paid an initial deposit dont wont to be rude but have you ever had insurance rejected due to payment this is the only reason they may ask for a deposit

You prob. won't be able to find that. In order to have a contract and receive a binder (initial insurance pending analysis and verification of the information you gave them) you need to pay something to complete that contract.

Sometimes, if you are dealing with an agent that knows you he may post a binder for you but that is at his/her risk.

go on to www.autotrader.co.uk and follow the link on the right hand side for insurance quotes, they are brilliant and will search for the best, but i have to say if you are young then i don't know any that don't want a deposit. good luck anyway

I have been doing this for years and represent multiple companies. Not one company is willing to accept an application without a down payment.
