Have to buy one by this weekend. Don't need anything fancy (I wouldn't take the time to figure it out anyways) - won't ever hook it up to the computer.
Suggestions?

SNERGY - Yes, I'm buying it to be popular. Popular because I lost my old one, and care more about popularity than taking pics of my 7 year old son and 3 month old daughter. I print pics off at a Kiosk instead of the computer - ever think of that one, smart guy?

I really like the Fuji F20 (only $150) great low light pics and 30fps video too. But the Canon A series are great for the money too.

check out dpreview.com to compare them

The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550

* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support

Why wouldnt you hook it up to the computer? How would you get the pictures off of it. Are you just buying it to be popular.
