Jesus is not my crutch, with Him I am not crippled.
As far as believing something you can not see. . .that is called faith. We don't see gravity but we see its effects. We don't see air but we know it is there we feel it in our lungs. I don't see Jesus in the human sense but if you knew Him you would feel Him to. He never leaves me. He walks with me everyday. I have no desire to walk through this life alone. Am I a strong woman. . .you better believe it. . . .my strength comes from the One who is stronger than us all.

It wasn't until I accepted Jesus as my savior that I realized just how much of a crutch "he is not". Being a real Christian is the most difficult thing I have ever had to do in my life and it has brought me a great deal of pain and sorrow as well as a great deal of joy and peace. Even though I know that it is not going to get any easier, I would not give it up for anything.
And Yes, I did reject him at one time also.

Of course it is a crutch. Most people have a crutch of some kind. Religion is no better and no worse than most others. In other words, I think that religion can be better than not for some people. For example, George Bush, although still extremely stupid and completely unable to use his brain, and although he brainlessly now thinks that everyone is as evil as he once was and needs the benefit of his experience at escaping the evil that he once was, is probably a much better person with religion than he was before. He would be a much better person still if he would keep his perversions to himself and not project them on the rest of us.

I need a lot more than a crutch. More like a heart transplant. See Jeremiah 17:9. Thank God that Jesus offers it.

Actually, I don't consider Jesus a crutch. Walking with Jesus is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. It's much easier to be impure, immoral, selfish, and uncaring. Instead, He calls me to mission to spread the Good News.

You need a crutch when you are crippled. And yes, I was crippled by sin. However, instead of needing a crutch for my new walk, Jesus did one better and just healed me.
Matthew 9:4-6
Jesus said, “Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

How can a person trust something they can't see, feel or hear? This is the problem with the world today, everyone is looking for a miracle from Heaven verse addressing the issue themselves.

There's a remedy for dogs when they get heart worms. I don't know if it will work in your case. I'm glad I don't have any foreign object in my heart.
Anyway, I wish you well. I notice that you may be having a problem with your head also. Good luck.
