Try matching it with pale colours, blue, green or white. I would also try a very soft yellow or cream.

Well, it looks like you have gotten about every color out there suggested. What I do is find a favorite article of clothing, or favorite item I own--one that makes me feel the way I want to feel in the particular room. For instance, I have a medium blue shirt that I feel restful and happy in when I wear it. So I painted my bedroom that color!
You want a color to reflect you--and if you can't find the right paint chip, take the item with you to the store. Most stores can custom mix for you. Good luck and happy painting!

What about a slate blue color? Don't be afraid of using a color more on the dark side I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Use a color that will pop not something neutral since your furniture is more of a neutral color.

You can go to lowe's.com, click on projects & try the virtual painter. You can try out hundreds of colors on sample rooms til you find what you like. It's fun, & you don't have to worry about how it'll look after you paint.

off white or a light tan. Actually any neutral color would go nicely :) darker neutral if you want the room to look smaller.

Salmon or a russet shade of rust. This allows you to use throw pillows and accents that are striking.
