I don't have a religion, I believe that religions exist because they were originally used to scare people into submission, but eventually lasted so long that they evolved into religions. They may also have been used to explain the unknown, take Greek mythology as an example. The reason I am atheist is that there are so many religions that if there was a god, he would not confuse us like this and just tell us how he wants us to live. Another reason is that, in Christianity for example, if you don't follow Christ, you are damned, but what about those before Christ? Are they all damned too?

I'm Gnostic Christian. It's not a religion but a spirituality and a psychology. I like it because it doesn't take the bible literally and only holds portians of the bible as truthful and legitimate. It's based more on the knowledge of transcendence arrived at by way of interior, intuitive means. Gnosticism expresses a specific religious experience, an experience that does not lend itself to the language of theology or philosophy, but which is instead closely affinitized to, and expresses itself through, the medium of myth. The term “myth” should not here be taken to mean “stories that are not true”, but rather, that the truths embodied in these myths are of a different order from the dogmas of theology or the statements of philosophy.

In other words, unlike most Christians, we don't quote bible scriptures for the purpose of attacking someone with no basis of attacking them to begin with. And even if we did have a basis, we wouldn't anyway because that wouldn't be the behavior of a True Christian.

1. I dont have a religion. I am a follower of Christ. That is not a religion, it is a lifestyle, a culture.
2. Since I dont have a religion, I cant love anything about it. I do however, love the Lord.
3. Same as above
4. Religions exist because man is seeking a way to find a higher power. In the process, they try to indoctrinate their followers according to what they want their followers to believe. Religions is a way to worship man (or men) by disguising it as worshiping God.

I associate myself with Christianity, but I do not associate myself with any particular religious organizations. I listen and learn something from each. I find that organized religions had a tendency to look down on other religious groups. That is the one thing I do not like about church affiliations. I believe that religions exist because man needs hope, guidance, and faith that there is something out there that helps us in times we need spiritual help and guidance. I do not like the fact that we are threatened with hell and damnation, and at times I feel futile in my attempts to be a good person, and I feel I am being delt a hand that is already stacked against me. Being that GOD already knows what I am going to do before I do it.

I'm Ásatrú.

Because it gives me a fulfillment in life that no other religion ever could do. Being connected to the Gods who are as close to you as bloodkin, following a Lore that teaches you to be strong and independent, honoring your ancestors and the heroes of before, that is Asatru for me.

It gives me strength in daily life, it gives me hope that there are actually Gods that care, and that stand with you if times are hard.

Asatru is one of the only religions that doesn't clash with the modern day scientific view on the world, it views the world as it is, a natural place, with many Gods.

I like being Asatru because it rewards people who are academically-inclined. Really and pervasively, not just in theory.

I like being Asatru because its ethos match mine. I can be a reasonably good example of an Asatruer; I would never be anything but a marginal, footnoted, troublemaking member of any other religion. I like hanging around with people who think that an oath is an oath, for example.

I like being Asatru because it validates my inclination to bonk irritating people on the head with a Big (Rhetorical) Hammer. I am blunt; in Asatru, blunt is a good thing. "Frith" and "cooperation" are much more resonant values for me than "niceness" or "harmony".

I like Asatru because it is not a One Way kind of religion. I can disagree strongly with other Asatruars about all sorts of things and we can still be in the same religion together just fine. And I don't have to worry about sorting out all the people outside of Asatru, either.

I am a christian. I go to church every chance i get, but its not about your religion, its whether or not you have a relationship with Jesus. there is nothing I dislike about being a christian. most people dont want to go to church and stuff because they feel "limited" and the cant have fun and stuff, but really its the complete opposite!!! when you're a christian you dont really WANT to do that stuff.the difference between christianity and any other religion is that the God we worship we can actually have a relationship with. he's our heavenly father. and in my opinion, different religions exist because the creators of them didn't know the truth- that God is the only true living God!!!

LDS. We are christian, despite what others might say.

I like my religion because it had all the answers I was looking for. All my questions could be answered. All the people are really nice and very open. They don't criticize others for their beliefs, and you don't have to be LDS to go to heaven.

We have been persecuted and ostracized for our beliefs since the church was organized, and everyone sees us as polygamists still. We aren't, in fact, we are so against polygamy that anyone who is found to be one is excommunicated.

I think the thing I don't like about it is the fact that most people see us as a cult, or wrong for what we believe. I don't know how many times I have been told that I'm going to hell because I don't believe in Christ, or the Trinity for that matter. I believe in Christ!! I follow his teachings. No, we don't believe in the trinity. So what? There are other faiths that don't and they are still Christian. Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now!! Thanks for the question!

I am a Christian. I live down south so i'm southern baptist. I think that something that stands out in Christianity is the fact that our Savior gave his son for us so that we could live and sin. I hate to say this but people take advantage of what Jesus Christ did for us, it's on the news everyday that somebody else got shot. I think that for a teenager I am pretty religious (not perfect..)

I don't have a religion.

I think people made up religion to capitalize it and make people do what they don't want to, enforce bunch of laws and things they don't even do themselves.

I follow Christ. I am not superstitious nor am I religious. I seek truth. I have done the readings and have gone through schooling both life and in the classroom to know that he is who he is.

I have a relationship with him and because he reached out to us (not a religion because in every religion, you have to reach out to god) and now I can directly communicate with the Almighty without the nonsense.

I call my religion The Center Path. It's Wiccan in base, and I train with a Dianic Priestess, though I myself am not Dianic.

I've been working on my own path for over 20 years. What I like about my own faith is that it does not hold that others must be wrong for me to be right. I think that is what is missing in most religions. They tend to see a dichotomy of wrong and right as far as spiritual paths go. They don't understand that it is possible for two opposing viewpoints to both be valid and right. When the world gets over that, it will be much healthier.
