People go to our church to be prayed for all the time. And contrary to what you might think, miraculous healings are frequent occurrences. The Bible does not say seeking earthly treatment is wrong either. They simply lacked in the technology and skill we now possess.

Many people get prayer and use wisdom that the book of Proverbs speaks of therefore they go to a doctor. Before accusing people of having reading disabilities please back up your info about Luke and Mary with credible sources.
I have an MBA, a great deal of education and I see someone like you that probably doesn't even have a job come on here and slander because you are so bitter.
You are right on one point, a lot of Christians do behave like the secular world. But not all of them, although I feel like I am wasting my time by even giving you the respect of an answer.

My church is made up of a lot of older people, so we get a lot of sicknesses. What do they do? They open up to the people of the church for prayer. Therefore, they are going to the elders (and everyone else), and i'm sure they're praying. Jesus never said not to go to a doctor. It's called not being stupid. Yes, God can do anything. But, how do you know if you have a severe sickness if you don't get checked on? For example, my father's coworker recently found cancer in his body. No symptoms. If he didn't go to a doctor, he would not have known. How could he have gone to the elders and gone into prayer over something he is unaware of? He can't. Your brain is a wonderful invention. Use it.

If one is sick, they should go to the elders of the church. However, what are herbs and medicines for? We have earthly bodies. The body is not built to last forever, the soul is. One who's faith is not strong enough may seek an "earthly physician". This doesn't make this person wrong. This is what it will take for this person to feel immediate comfort.
If you need a hug do you pray to Jesus, or do you seek a human touch? Is it wrong to have natural (not sinful) feelings and emotions?
We are human.

there is an limitless huge difference between asking someone residing in the international to wish for or with you and asking a similar difficulty of a departed mortal. "the position 2 or more advantageous jointly are accumulated in My call, there'll I be also." i'm no longer attempting to be abrasive, merely attempting to respond to the question. From a biblical perspective i'm forced to view it this way; "i'm the way and the gentle and the fact. no one includes the daddy except by technique of Me." there is not any factor out of Mary, nor, to the finest of my comprehend-how, is she ever suggested in scripture as being an intercessor earlier the throne of God. I respect Mary for a fashion she performed herself as a lady and for being the mummy of Jesus Christ, yet when i am going to "cope with the throne" (pray), i am going to communicate to the decide (Jesus Christ). God bless you.

I am sorry you feel this way. Not everyone believes the same and it does tell us in the Bible we each interpret the Bible in our own way. It is when we pray for guidance and understanding reading the Bible we can get a true meaning with an open heart.

I think that what you are saying holds some merit but I disagree with your thinking. Jesus himself healed as did the early deciples...doctors or not. You are inferring that medicine must be evil because it is not necessarily connected with religious beliefs. Much of medicine today is a combination of a persons faith in God and the tools that have been given by God to correct certain conditions. God is the only one who can give life. Medicine only prolongs it.
