Assume that I am talking about one breed in general?
I have an American Staffordshire Pit-bull Terrier, I know that this is not a breed, but my dog is a mix between an AMstaff and a pit-bull terrier, so I call her by that name, Why are people so ignorant as to think that I don't know what I'm talking about.
Why do they assume that I am making up a breed when really, it is the specifics of my dog, and to me it sounds nice instead of calling her a mutt.
It's just like people sayin they have a blue nose or a red nose pit, there is NO SUCH THING, but it is the color of the dog,is it not? That seems to be where the name comes from, correct?
Just like there are blue german shephereds and red ones and so on with other dog breeds!

I find that amusing, mainly because the APBT originated from the American Staffordshire Terrier.

I hate when people charge more for a ''blue nose'' or a ''red nose'' APBT, but what bothers me more, is people don't do enough research, and actually fall for the idea that one is more 'special' than the other.

You know how it is, everyone always wants to know more than another person, so we're always correcting people. Don't take it personally. Maybe in the future, you could write it with a slash (American Staffordshire/ Pit-bull terrier) so everyone knows it's a mix. Cheers!

aaah. a mutt is a dirty name to use.

People got at me too for calling my dog a German Shepard Poodled Sheep Dog...aawe. poodled. haha. Her name was Magic.

I have however heard of an American Staffordshire Terrier Pit bull....soo.

Right now I have a Siant Bernard - I think she is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix....wow that's a long name.

Your dog sounds sexy :)

Why don't you just say "my staffie/pit mix"

seems like it would save you a headache and lower your blood pressure.
