"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." Revelation 22:13
Jesus and the Holy spirit also don't have a beginning,
In the beginning the Word already existed.
"The Word was with God, and the Word was God" John 1:1

Jehovah is used with great reverence and is singular in Gen.1:1. In the beginning was the word(Jehovah)
It is also interpreted (word)logos--( the concept of the meaning of Jehovah) It is also translated elohim
The word 'elohim. This word for God is used more frequently (some 2,570 times) than either of the others in the OT. It is a plural form--a form used in other religions to suggest fuller manifestation of a deity. It is often called the "plural of majesty" and in the OT, although normally used with singular vowels, probably implies that more than one person is involved. For instance, Ge 1:1-2 introduces God and the Spirit of God. Ge 1:26 reports that God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness ...." While this might be considered a royal "we," it is more likely an early indication of the triune nature of God who, though one Person, exists forever as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The doctrine of the Trinity is never clearly taught in the OT, however many hints there may be. What the OT does is continue to use this name, with others, as a means of developing the concept of God by linking with it descriptive terms and phrases. Many such descriptions are linked to 'elohim.
Hope this helped

I believe He DID have a beginning - he didn't just appear out of nowhere...he has no beginning that "we know of" i.e. we have no knowledge of what his life was like before He was our God.
Through modern revelation though, we do know that God was once as we are now. He lived as a man, progressed from mortality to immortality and through I am sure many many years, gained exaltation and godhood. We are his children and we believe we can become like him. Not above him, but like him.
Abr. 3: 22
22 Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones;
Abr. 4: 26
26 And the Gods took counsel among themselves and said: Let us go down and form man in our image, after our likeness; and we will give them dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Abr. 5: 2
2 And the Gods said among themselves: On the seventh time we will end our work, which we have counseled; and we will rest on the seventh time from all our work which we have counseled.

Remembering my old Catholic religion classes, the important passage is probably Exodus 3:14, when Moses asks God in the burning bush for his name and God answers "Ehyeh asher ehyeh", which is usually translated as "I am that I am" or more precisely "I-shall-be that I-shall-be."
The phrase is repeated by Jesus of Nazareth in John 8:58 : "before Abraham was, I am”.

Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

In order to be God, you cannot have a beginning or an end. Therefore, if there is a being with a beginning or end, it is not God.
