I don't know why people are offended by this question. I really don't know this.

My friend(He's in the ARMY) read the answers, he told me the ones offended are evidently Airmen. They like to complain.

The Marines, Navy, and Army do not have Air Forces, they have Air components.
the Air Force has strike aircraft as well as logistical support craft (AWAC, Cargo, re-fuelers, etc).
the Navy has an Air component because they have carriers. And carriers provide air cover for fleets and strike capabilities from the sea/ocean, as opposed to flying in land based aircraft from thousands of miles away. The Air force can't land an A-10, C5, or C130 on a carrier.
the Marines are part of the Navy and have an Air component that provides both fixed wing and rotary winged support for the Marines.
the Army has Rotary winged air assets (Apache's, Blackhawks, chinook's)at it's disposal to support ground ops. helicopters are great for inserting troops, scouting, moving cargo, and their lethal striking ability.

The Army does not have its own Air Force. The Army have helicopter fleets. The air mission for the navy and marines is quite different from the Air Force.

The army has a small sort of plane. The Marines have even much less. The Air stress has greater jets and bombers than they do blended. the subject is that each and every branch desires to be in fee of their very own kit and their human beings taught their way. there is usually a tugging experience between the branches for who gets the excellent to do what. The army desires plane to launch from its vendors...that's a necessity that we can not do without. yet, do they'd desire to be army plane and army pilots? specific, in accordance to the army. you may surely tutor a US Air stress pilot the thank you to land on a provider, merely like army pilots. yet, however.

How many Air Force pilots are carrier qualified? Probably not a whole hell of a lot. Similarly, how many Navy pilots fly B-52's? Interestingly, last time I checked, the Navy has more planes than the Air Force.

You need to do some research on branches and their missions before you go talking nonsense. By the way, the Air Force USED to be part of the Army called the Army Air Corp.

Well we may not need all that military jazz. The democrats have just solved the problem of international terrorism. Know how they did it? The defined it away!! (see link)
Simple! Now lets get down to defunding the military, running social experiments with them and sending them for sensitivity training. Now where did they put that proposal to allow gays to serve openly in the military?
