a docter told me this will get me to loose a ton of wait but they also told me there is no liit on what i eat as long it is 10% or less saturated fat. Is this true. please only answer if you really do know thanx@!

your Dr is incorrect, eating less saturated fats will not increase fat loss. at least 20% of the daily diet should be derived from various fat sources. of that 20% at least 50% should be unsaturated fats, a couple of grams of omega 3 & 6 fatty acids which are polyunsaturated fats. and the rest should come from other sources of polyunsaturated fats and saturated fats. since unsaturated fats contain the good HDL-C they comprise the majority of the fat intake to offset the LDL-C from saturated fats. it almost sounds like your Dr. was saying that decreasing the LDL-C would contribute to weight loss and that is definetly false. also, women need to consume a higher amount of saturated fats then men do. there have been tons of medical studies that have shown that when the amount of saturated fats in the diet for women was decreased too much that testosterone production was reduced by over 30%. this will obviously have a very negative effect on the amount of muscle mass as levels of circulating androgens also follows a similar decrease. less test means less muscle and combined with a caloric deficit a very low saturated fat intake for a woman is a good way to decrease overall muscle mass in the body.
