Sounds like you need to do some reading and learn from whence you speak. Those questions are all answered in the Christian Bible. Avoid the King James version though, colloquial as heck but tough to understand and get through. Try the NIV or Amplified translation. Also available widely on DVD by the way!

Satan is a rebel angel.
Why doesn't God zap him?
Satan made accusations.
Those accusations must be proved wrong.
If God immediately zapped Satan, other angels (and humans) might think Satan was right and God was trying to silence him.
What are the accusations?
That God is a liar.
That we will not stay loyal to God if we have to go through difficult times.
It takes time to settle these issues.
God could wipe out everything and start over.
However, what if the same thing happens.
It must be dealt with once for all time.
You must know how long some court cases take.
In the mean time, show satan is the liar by remaining faithful to God despite tough times.

Satan rebelled and was thrown to earth, just like man was. We too were kicked out of the garden if you remember. Us and satan are all getting the same treatment as far as being on earth goes. Satan just goes out of his way to try to get in the way of God, tries to foil everything as much as possible. He is wasting the time that was given to him to repent and turn around. God told us what Satan would do in the end, we need only open his word and see for ourselves.
All the angels in heaven rejoice when *1* soul is saved, they give praise and see the glory in action. Satan is trying to tempt and steal what is not his, what he can't control, just so God can't have it. He's a spoiled and angry child trying to get revenge. Many times God turns the wicked things Satan does into good things that save many more. We might only see a part of what God is doing, and so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to us, but if we saw the whole thing we'd understand.
Those laws aren't there to protect you. They are there to show you that you CAN'T follow them your whole life and not break 1. They are there to show you that you are not what you are supposed to be, which is perfect. They are to show you why you need to be saved by a savior. They show you that no matter how hard you try, you will break one of those rules eventually, on purpose or not. We need a savior, so God gave us the son Jesus that the door to heaven might be opened for us and allow entrance.
Satan can, and still does, talk to God. Sadly all his talking is accusing us of the things we do wrong in our lives. Flaunting that we are not perfect. Each time one of us is made clean, Satan tries to pull us back and make us dirty again.

God created angels and humans not as robots who will follow his commands or do what when he pushes a button.
Satan's existence proves that God gave all of us free will. The bible refer to Satan as one 'who did not stand fast in the truth.' Meaning, he used to be in the truth (God's follower) but left. It was because of his desire to be worshipped that made him rebel against God.
God does not control Satan...thing is when Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden that she will not die if she eat the forbidden fruit and that she will be like God knowing good and bad, he was implying that God was hiding something good from them...that God himself was a liar (Coz God said theyll die once they touch the fruit).
Satan attacked God's sovereignty or his right to rule over man. That man is better off without God. This is a question we all face, to whom do we give an answer to?
Then and there God could have destroyed Satan also Adam and Eve but there were many angels watching, and the challenge Satan raised would not be answered. In a way, God has allowed Satan to prove his point, to show the other creations how he will be leading man..or how man will lead without God.
And as we see now, man has indeed dominated man to his injury...human government however noble its purpose may be cannot remove sickness, poverty, war and death....God has not interfered in Satan's ways of leading man, that's a reason why suffering happens...but he will remove Satan as ruler soon...

I don't fully understand your question. The archaic laws you speak of (I assume you mean the commandments) were put in place for our benefit. Can you imagine what our world would be like if we ALL followed them? Awesome!
As to Satan, God could destroy him if he chose to do so but it was not his choice. At one point in time and perhaps even today, God loved Satan (nee Lucifer) very much. He was in heaven with God. Satan is not trying to hide from God. On the contrary, he is fighting openly against God.

Actually reread Genesis, Adam hid from god in the Garden of Eden. Maybe its like Superman with lead
Holy Missionary, God orders the death of "suckling babies" reread the part about the Ammonintes and others. He believe quite enthusicastically in killing. Also you argue Satan wont repent. How do you know that? What if he did last week? You guys make this stuff up as you go along.

Lucifer was an angel. He decided that he wanted to be God. He planned to overthrow God but instead got overthrown right out of Heaven.
Angels obviously have free will.....if I remember correctly...a third of the heavenly host was cast out of Heaven with Lucifer.
There is evil in this world...God didn't place it here. It was our free will that brought us where we are. Adam and Eve ate the fruit....if they just had listened to God then they would still be living the good life hand in hand with God....Can you imagine....actually walking in a garden side by side with your maker....talking audibly to Him! Wow, they had the good life...they chose to throw it away.....not that they are bad or evil people....but this is what caused the downward spiral of mankind to begin.
This also was the reason that Jesus ultimately came to earth. Without his gift we would never be able to be pure to enter into Heaven. And yes, Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven.
Oh...and in response to another good intentioned poster...stay away from the NIV...it leaves out passages that are important and isn't clear about the trinity in most publications. (1 John 5 7-8)

Youv'e asked a tough question, one that is going to get you the typical bible quoting response from Christians who get their theroies from other MEN!
The bible is not written literally proverbs says seek as for hidden treasure, Jesus also spoke in parables, now your going to get a lot of people upset withthsi theory but this is what I believe and observe and because like you, I stay on the hard questions instead of just shrugging them off with some silly scripture and expanation.
Here it goes.... GOD IS SATAN..... in other words there is no devil, in the garden with the serpent when Eve supposedly spoke to a snake, it it spoke back, thats not true, it was her own voice in her head, same thing with Jeus when the devil tempted Him, it wasn't a devil at all, after fasting and having tremendous power Jesus had momentary thoughts of what he could have been, A KiNG A RULER, HE was after all suppose to be a man, sin't that the idea, if not than what he suffered was not a big deal. Yes Gods, son, but still a Man.
Now how can God be so perfect as everyone says, when they don't read and understand when God flooded the earth it SAYS HE felt bad about what He had done, and promised not to do this again setting the rainbow as the promise. How about the murders of children, wars and slaughter of innocent animals in the Old Testement? See, we are closer to God than you think, the Devil is in God himself, because when he made Man don't forget He said Now he is like ONE OF US??? WHO IS US? Good and Evil. And it continues to say how man now DOES KNOW THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL SEE,,,, THAT IS PROOF. Your right, it doesn't make sense, but it is suppose to, we are not to be unlearned, proverbs says get understanding. So now as I see it and understand it, God is everything including bad, but desires like us to choose to do good, but there is no Satan there is no such thing as a devil, that is why Jesus constantly said " Why do you fear" He said this all the time, the fear is inside of you, God put it there, but you must yhave the right kind of fear which is the fear of God, God created Satan gave it to man to make choices for yourself, the devil doesn't make you do anything, you do.

The existence and rebellion of Satan against God are a mystery, but that is what the Bible teaches.

Now evil has come unto our brains. So God has made all those rules in the Bible. God doesn't want an unfair death to happen to us just because of Satan. He wants to give us full chance, and he will give death to those who heard the rules and didn't follow them.
If he wants he can end all the creation now.
You might be having many such doubts. They can be resolved at carm.org. I resolved many of mine from there.
