It's good to give to charity, yes. It is also bad to boast about it. However, we should try not to hate anyone. If we succesfully took away all the violence and bitterness, but we still actively hated those who appeared to do bad things, it would all descend into violence again, just as bad as today.
Violence begins in the heart when we hate others because they are somehow different from us.
An end to violence is promised in the Bible. Read Psalm 46, particularly verse 10. Further information can be obtained at this web site.

Giving to charities is a good thing. Boasting is not. A true giver does not do it for recognition, but for the sharing of what they have. Since sin is a strange concept for me, I cannot comment on that. Any "positive" energy put forth strengthens the giver as well as the receiver. Seeking acknowledgment for that giving is "negative" energy for it is taking not giving.

Boasting is poor display of ones character but the charity may sometimes be made publically to motivate others;it should not be always be a secret.

Boasting about giving to a charity is a sin. Boasting is another word for pride.

No, I do not hate it. But God asks us to do it without bragging about it. God asks us to give the way that even our other had does not know what the other is doing. He will reward generous and faithful givers, but the people who boasts about it..their own boasting will be the reward. :)

No, I don't hate anyone, if you want the blessing given from God, then the gift should be given freely, and in secret,God knows your heart, you don't need to boast, that makes the action prideful, but when you give to the needy do not let your left hand know, what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I don't hate them; they are to be pitied. The Lord had said, "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 6: 1).
Reading further in Matthew 6: 2-4 the scriptures are clear that those with charity ought to be charitable, but not advertise it for they already have their reward.

Yes, Jesus said "don't let your left hand know what your right hand did". He was referring to those who boast about giving money and doing good deeds.

No, tithing is the most powerful way to manifest money in our lives, people telling us about how the universe works is only considered sinful by those who prefer dogma and fear to spiritual knowledge

Well, I don't hate them. I just refuse to give them the attention they want. Which is the only reason people like that give money - so they can receive attention they think they deserve for being kind.
I think it is more honorable to give money to charity and not say a word about it........
