It will be my second wedding, and his first.
My first was huge and fancy, and although it was picture perfect, it was NOT ME!
If things keep going the way they seem to be going, what would you say would be a FUN wedding. What do you enjoy most at weddings?

Fun wedding:

No bridezilla stridently squawking "This is MY day!!!!" and behaving like a spoiled tin tyrant about details.

No cookie-cutter bridesmaids dressed all alike.

No obsessing over wedding themes, wedding colors, wedding flowers or fripperies or favors.

No using anything about the wedding as paybacks for perceived slights, or rewards for brown-nosing to the bride.

No going into debt to pay for things nobody really cares about or will even remember a month after the wedding.

A reception where the food is good and uncomplicated and plain and plentiful.

Everyone there to have a good time, no bad feelings.

Nobody in the wedding party taking themselves or the wedding so seriously that it spoils the celebration.

Nobody getting drunk.

A comfortable location for both the wedding and the reception.

That would be a fun wedding.

There are 3 things that I would always recommend ... the most important one is having an open bar. Your guests are there to celebrate with you and it isn't fair for them to pay for their own drinks. Having an open bar will loosen everyone up and get both sides of the family talking together. The next important thing is great food. Your guests will be very pleased if they are, not only full but had a fabulous meal! The final thing that I highly recommend is spending the extra money for a band instead of a DJ ... a band can get your guests involved better than a DJ can. and they will become the life of your party. In my experience, more of your guests will be willing to join in the dancing with a band.

Dont do anything crazy like a theme weeding in vegas after all it is still a wedding.Have a informal wedding like at the park wear a cute sundress instead of a big weeding gown. And have off the chain reception thats everyone favorite part anyway right.

Fun weddings have good food, great music and lots of dancing!
Since it's your second wedding, it will need to be rather low-key. Just have the ceremony at the courthouse or somewhere with a jp, then have family and close friends to your home for a meal.

Have fun music, good food, and COLD BEER. Don't play any stupid dance games or have it so formal that everyone is tense. Make is as laid back as possible. Don't make the dress code be super strict and fancy. Have the reception at a club (rent it out) or bar...

it all depends on your taste, if your first wedding wasn't u than try something different. My sister's wedding was rather dull and boring, no one danced and there was no alcohol what-so-ever but she had fun. My wedding (this sept) will have lots of dancing and alcohol, it will be a more laid back enviornment. Do whatever will make you happy, its your day

Do it in the style you both like.

For example, if you like the ocean, have it on an ocean liner or on a boat on a lake.

I've heard of sky-diving weddings, but that seems a little extreme.

Congratulations, no matter what you do.

We had our reception at an aquarium. That was a blast. Most of our friends and family have kids and we encouraged them to bring their families. We had two buffets--one for grown ups and one with kid-friendly foods like pizza and juice boxes.

It was the most fun!!!! Everyone told me that they had the best time at our reception!
