how can i make 1 second pulse continously??

i want to generate 1 second pulse for its one cycle. plus the output voltage is 9V. what is the method that should i do to create this thing?? 555 or crystal is better?? can anybody suggest me the value and the connection of the component. except using function generator

555 timer with an op amp (If you need current) would be the best solution.

A 555 will work with the 9v, but watch the current.
