We all have had to put up with office psychos. I don't think there is anything that can be done until the boss decides that he/she has had enough and gets rid of the person.

I would say avoid them and ignore them if they are getting on your nerves. If it's something they are intentionally doing that is keeping you from working, then address it with your superiors. If they are just bugging you, you will have to ignore them. We all have to encounter people we don't necessarily care for on a daily basis. Just keep your conversations with them work oriented and brief.

If the colleague is not bothering you, simply ignore the person and work.
