I suppose a question like this has to be out there, although you would think everyone's opinion on "drinking and driving" would be the same. I guess not. It should be.
You just DON'T DO IT. No exceptions to the rule. If you are drinking, then you must be old enough to do it. That even means if your not in the legal eyes of the law. And being so, if you CHOOSE to drink...then you must CHOOSE to be responsible. Now we all know that is not the case for everyone.
Its our job to make sure everyone in our life...everyone is in our circle, is remembering that if they get behind the wheel while drinking or after drinking, a life can be taken. Theirs or someone elses.
You just CHOOSE to make the right decision. Its that simple. Walk, call a cab, have a non-drinking friend give you a life...call your parents, grand-parents or siblings. Anything....but you NEVER drink and drive. NEVER. NO option.

This is a bad subject for me. My husband used to go out on Fridays with some of his co-workers and think nothing of it to come home with more than a few in him. I used to preach to him about him possibly killing a family with children in it, but he never listened. He's in county government and it would have been on the front pages of the newspaper, but he still didn't listen. One day I went online and calculated what his blood alcohol content was at one time and it even surprised him. It was .16. After that he stopped drinking cold turkey. He was extremely grouchy for a while, but he now drinks non-alcoholic drinks and I'm very proud of him.

After being arrested for a DUI, I had to spend a night in jail, pay $900.00 in fines, 93 days in jail (suspended), AA meetings, highway safety class, victim impact panel, 96 hours community service, 30 days suspended license, 5 months restricted license, $1000.00 a year for 2 years to the State of Michigan and the shame and disappointment of my family, I would say DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!!

In the State of Michigan, the legal limit is 0.08 and I blew a 0.09 BAC.

not to, my Friends uncle was on the road changing his tire when a drunk driver run him down and detached his arm from his body, and it's not OK ,for people to go out have fun drinking and climbing into their cars and causing other people misery. i know a lot of times people drink and drive and nothing happens, but it's better save than sorry.

Why is this in the dental section?
My opinion is its stupid. I'll admit I've done it and it was like I was in a cartoon, but I won't do it again. I could have killed myself or someone else, and thats not a chance that I'm willing to take when there are other options to get home.

The best time to drink alcohol and drive is around 9:30 in the morning. This is because rush hour has already passed, and the cops figure everyone is at work.

To speed up the process, choose a hard liquor instead of beer. Try funneling it when you are rounding a sharp curve.

Most importantly, remember to have fun!

Deadly and Devastating. If you get caught, it's almost as if you committed a felony with all the penalties. Take a cab.
