Without God in this world there would be no atheist! Satan would rule with an iron fist and
he wouldn't stand for no unbelief "only belief in him".

God loves you to atheist.

God allows everyone to have their own beliefs. He is not a tyrant.

Yes, God allows people to be atheist. But He does not want them to be, it's just a side-effect of free will and true love.

But if there was no God, what's to say there would be a Satan? From a Christian's view, no God = no Satan. Perhaps it would have been better if you said if God merely stayed on the sidelines and didn't show Himself through the Bible and Christ.

Satan's ruling this world now, but God and even the church are keeping him in check. Without us (aka Tribulation) he will have virtual free reign. I'm glad I won't be here.

How do you KNOW there is a god or a Satan. The Bible is not a good source of information. None of the writers were even historians. It is often considered as "authoritative" but who gave it such authority. To claim "God" as the authority is circular reasoning and a fallacy because you know of god through the Bible.

God allows each to choose-either to believe and accept Christ as their Savior or to reject Him so completely as to deny His existence. God isn't a tyrant and will not force anyone to believe any certain way. He patiently waits for each to choose.
Satan tempts, beguiles, and outright lies to believers and non believers alike to draw them away from God. We all must always be aware and resist satan at every turn in the road.

You've got the idea of Satan all wrong. He hates us period. He knows God loves us so when he hurts us he hurts God.

And yes, bible says, if people are not lovers of the truth God will allow them to believe a lie.

How would you like it if some dictator took over the world and ordered that we all serve him, whether we trust him or not? Well, that is exactly what God wanted to avoid. He does not force anyone to believe in Him. We have a choice--it is called free will. Just like if you choose a partner for life you make the choice to love and honor them, so you can choose to love and honor God.

Pardon the expression, but how would you feel if people only treated you nice just to kiss up to you because you were in charge? At first it might give you a power rush, but after a while, it would get old to not have any true friends, no one who loves you just for you. Well, likewise, God wants people to turn to Him by choice because they want to love Him and they want to share in His love.

I have three teenagers. I do not want them to behave, have good morals, and treat me right just because they fear me or the consequences. I want them to behave, have good morals, and treat me right out of a sense of love and respect. God wants the same from those who choose to be called His children.

The following is a question and answer from everystudent.com that might help you understand this better:

Q: "If God is all-knowing and knows who will go to heaven or hell, why would he let someone be born with free will? Why would he let this person suffer and be tested by him if he already knows the outcome?"

our A: If God has foreknowledge of all events that take place within the realm of free will, He still has to let those events transpire.

The fact that they do transpire is how He has foreknowledge of them.

And there would be no actual free will if God didn't allow those events and choices to take place.

On some of the really deep mysterious questions (like the one you've posed), sometimes we have to make guesses...conjecture...unless the Bible is really clear on the matter. In our opinion, the Bible is not really clear on this subject, so we give you an answer with the qualification that...it's conjecture.

However, what we can say with certainty is that God can be trusted. And maybe that's the central issue. Even if we don't understand everything, has He given us enough evidence to know we can trust Him? Trust His character?

Yes. God evidenced His trustworthy character through Jesus Christ. God took on the likeness of humans, and then allowed Himself to be tortured and killed...on our behalf. He did this so that we could be forgiven of sins, so we wouldn't have to die for our own sins. This act--Jesus, the Son of God, paying for our sins--shows that God cares.

Then God took it a step further. After Jesus died by crucifixion and was buried, He rose from the dead three days later, just as He said He would. Death is not a problem for God. God is in control. Out of His love for us, Jesus died for our sins. And in display of His power and control, He rose from the dead. He will always accomplish His word.

God cares, and God is in control. We must realize these two essentials when we consider the great mysteries of life.

It's true, God hasn't given us an answer on everything, but He's given us enough answers to know we can trust Him and follow Him. We know enough about Him to know that He is merciful, just, fair, good...even if His ways are not totally understood, and even if He hasn't answered every last question for us.

Yes, I agree and you do have that choice. If God did not exist neither would Satan. There would be no world.

I am an atheist.

If god exists, and he is an omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing) god, he must desire me to be an atheist. If he did not, he would know how to make me believe.

So, yes, if god exists, he must want me to be an atheist.

And the invisible pink unicorn that rules the universe from my garage loves you too god-believer.

Your assumption is that there is God and a Satan, and that if there wasn't a God, then Satan would still exist.

I don't think there is nearly enough evidence to make the claim for either.

God allows all their own free will. he does not want them to be that way, however he still loves them. but rather he would like all to worship him as he has asked but not he will not force us. its the idea of being dragged into heaven kicking and screaming
