with everyday new brands being put on the recall list, what gaurantee is there that these brands are not contaminated and may be "discovered" later on when its too late? I am just anxious and worried and wish to switch some other healthier alternative till this recall has been once and for all finalised, is milkbone ok for pups? please help

There is no guarantee, I'm afraid. And I'm hearing on the news today that they're wondering if the recall may have come too late. My dog died on Feb. 5, way before ANY food was recalled. He had all the symptoms of kidney failure, and I racked up nearly $1000 in vet bills before he died. Naturally, I didn't save any old dog food containers because I had no clue about the recall!

Right now, if I were you, I'd trust NO pet foods, treats, or anything labeled for pet consumption. If I had my dog back, I'd only trust "people food", and you know what? I'm wondering if there's really any guarantee if THAT'S safe anymore!

Boiled meat and rice with some meat broth, perhaps some peas mixed with it.

If and when I get another dog, I don't think I'll ever feed commercially prepared food again.

None of purnia foods have been recalled as of yet but when I took Oreo into the vet for a nail trim I did ask about the food & the vet told me if I really want to be super cautious I need to buy dog food that doesn't contain wheat glutin they said corn glutin was ok since it has only been the wheat glutin that has been tainted
