I went immediately from Paxil to Lexapro. Neither of them worked, but I didn't have any bad effects from going off the Paxil. I am now taking Cymbalta and it is helping some.

if you were on paxil for anxiety you probably are having an anxiety attack. when my doctor first put me on lexapro i had a bad panic attack. it could have been the meds or it could have been the anxiety of trying a new medication. you should see. it is probably just temperary. i know it was for me and i love lexapro. but any concerns ask your doctor and see what they say.
