i have a new king james. i would strongly suggest that you read a king james bible. kj bible is an translation in english of the latin bible that was used in churches in england upto 17th century it is missing the apocrypha (i think my spelling is out on that) but that book should not be in the bible anyway if you read revelation 22. a modern translation would be easier to understand than that of one dated in 1794 which will use archiac english. it is the only bible that i truly understand and have used it since i was a very young child. when i have doubted my faith it is always the version i turn to as it is written in way to strengthen faith. go ahead and read a nkjv bible (new king james fifth bible) king james v commissioned it so that the general populace could have a bible in their homes that they could read and understand and it is what is read in all church of england churches and even the free churches because all english translations are based upon it. god bless and keep you

I would definitely recommend it. I've read a few translations of the Bible and I would say that it is by far the strongest. The reason why some believers don't read it is because it is written in old English.

Some Roman Catholics might object to it as it doesn't have any of the books of the Apocrypha, but those books should NOT be in there (See Revelation 22)

Many people would testify that they have been strengthened especially by reading the King James. I'd encourage you to read it.

1794 Hieroglyphical Bible
A most curious and unique item... a very rare children's Bible printed in London. It was meant to help children learn to read, while learning of God's Word. This wonderful little book is in a protective clamshell case with a leather spine. What a great gift idea for the "home-schooler", or anyone who appreciates rare children's books and unusual Bibles.

It appears to be a VERY interesting publication!

It is an english translation of the Holy Bible endorsed by the Church of England to promote beliefs that are specific to the Church of England. It is edited every so often to suit contemparory interests. Last time it was edited was in the early 1990's. What specifics are you looking for?

It's not an original printing, that would have been in the 1600's, but it's still quite old. I would check with an antiques dealer who specializes in old books.

I think what you are looking at is the publishing date.
