In the Bible were told that women should not cut their hair and men should always cover their head when they prey. We justify not doing these things by saying Paul was talking about the Jewish culture and this Jewish law, but tatooes are wrong and not covered in Jewish Law? What about makeup or earings. We lose sight that we are called to glorify God in all things. Everything is permissable but not everything is beneficial. If a tatooe or perciecing helps you relate to someone who needs Gods love, more power to you.

Hypocrisy isn't exclusive to Christians. Hypocrisy is in all areas of human life. We are all hypocrites to some extent. And Christians are sinners just like everyone else. When I hear someone say "that church is just full of hypocrites", I say, "that's where hypocrites SHOULD be". Hopefully, they will learn repentance and will be forgiven. Besides, no one is supposed to judge another ones life anyway. "Judge not, that ye be not judged".

The bible was written as most part 600 to 800 years after the fictional birth of Jesus. Its a rambling, concocted of old Jewish Scriptures, new ideas of monks and mainly developed to keep people away from science and improvement. The earth was flat, the Vatican with his vassals happy and fat and the middle ages threw man kind back by 800 years. The party was over for the Vatican, when Martin Luther and Gutenberg came on the scene. One enabled normal people to read a book, the other translated the bible into a normal language.
It just boggles my mind, that still today, people believe that stupid ramblings.

Once you get the reality that Christianity is made up of plain old people, not some sort of super-people, and that people tend to get really attached to their own ideas, it is not surprising.
Obviously, God, being the Great Guy He is, thinks the way that I do...or at least that's the way they think.
Ahh, well, that might be one reason we're told not to lean on our own understanding. Whatever anyone tells you, Christians are no better than anyone else. I know, because I am a Christian.
Anyone who gives the impression that Christians are somehow better than you because they "know Jesus" and you don't, obviously doesn't know Jesus at all.

Ur completely right. We should glorify God in everything that we do,but the "World" is so caught in pleasing the "World" that they try to push a number of religious things (espsecially dealing with appearance) to the side. Let us not 4get that God is a forgiving God. But also, that the wages of sin is death.

I don't think they are being hypocritical. I think the Bible is open to so many interpretations they don't know what they are following anymore.
There's supposed to be a verse about 'let your boy be a temple' that all the piercing/tatooing issue comes from.

no longer all Christian religions have a similar handle heaven and hell. Mormons have self assurance, and convinced they're christian, that all and sundry would learn of Christ and be judged in accordance to their comprehend-how and their hearts. A loving God ought to in no way condemn strong human beings to an eternity of hell. the reason you need to be Christian to be kept is in case you've self assurance in Christ and the atonement then you are able to repent of your sins and be made total or perfect. as a fashion to sin you ought to have an comprehend-the way it really is a sin. You cant sin in lack of comprehend-how. those that in no way knew of Christ or the atonement in this existence would learn and given a risk to settle for in the subsequent. God isn't unfair. i do no longer comprehend how everybody could have self assurance that human beings which have in no way even heard of Christ will be damned. I also dont comprehend how little little ones prefer to be baptized or the theory of the unique sin. between the worst concepts of the substantial christian religions is that of the unique sin. we are no longer born evil. we are no longer in charge for what some different person has finished. God will in no way condemn an risk free newborn to hell. Hell is likewise no longer a fiery brimstone of lack of life and destruction, yet a scarcity of God. Hell will be understanding you had the prospect to be sooo a lot more advantageous then we are now and learn so a lot more advantageous yet because we made alternatives no longer to humble ourselves to God's will and teachings then we are stuck. Hell isn't fiery doom. it really is being stuck.

Not all christians wear makeup and have tattoos. I am not surprised @ any type of hypocricy...it is very much in human nature to "do as I say not as I do".
I am also not surprised that some diehard American "patriots" will allow themselves to break their own laws by adorning the American flag on their articles of clothing...yet will condone the burning of the flag in blatant disregard of the one thing that they claim to hold sacred: - freedom.

Actually, i have come to think that most of the Christianity is just like a parasite that assimilates and evolves on other religions, and if it does not like a religion, it will simply destroy it.
Examples of destroyed, yet recovering religions:Druidism, Wiccan, Egyptian, and Greek.

Nothing amazes me anymore. "Christians" will rationalize anything bad they do, then go to church on Sunday and say they are no longer accountable because they confessed and the blood of Jesus washed them clean.
