The brides parents are throwing an Engagement party on Cinco de Mayo and they would like to give out a favor. Any ideas?

cinco de Mayo huh? Think mexican.....or go with the wedding theme, if there is one.
Give your guests Mexican wedding cakes (pastries) in a bag with tags that say the bride and groom's name, thank you for all your love and support.
Another idea could be plastic margarita glasses with an individual pouch of margarita mix. You can order those from an online website.

Save the date is a great idea, a cheaper alternative to a magnet is to take a favorite picture of the two of you and have it printed with a border reminding them of your wedding date. You could design it yourself on the computer (4x6) size if you are computer smart and have it printed at your local photo shop, a favor for under .20 each.

You don't give out favors at an engagement party, that's for the wedding reception, if you like.

that's to the those that throw the occasion to furnish favors.. to no longer the travelers of honor. you enable them to wreck you that evening, ok? only loosen up and be in love and function a great time! congratulations! quite, the classic, is for individuals to deliver YOU presents on the engagement occasion.. that's oftentimes forgotten. lol

I don't think favors are usually given out at an engagement party. You could give away save-the-date magnets.
