Democrat or Republican?
Atheist or Christian?

What if neither theory is correct? What if it's something else, and if so, what?

To be honest, I would be excited if it was discovered it was something totally different. I am open minded, but I do want some solid evidence.

It is valid to consider that some questions are not binary, but some questions do happen to be just that. This is an interesting one to consider, but the definitions of evolution and creation may be broad enough to put them into unique, competing categories.

Let's put it this way: there is either 1) a blind, natural, material process that resulted in sentient creatures like us, or 2) something outside of nature intervened in some way to produce us. If there is another option, then it is not being advocated to my knowledge. Even if you say that aliens created us, you still have to answer this question for where those aliens came from.
