You need to realize what happens if you do and if you don't ask her out.
If you DON'T ask her out - she never goes out with you. You get to watch some other guy ask her out and she goes off and maybe eventually becomes his girlfriend.
If you DO ask her out, you get a shot at it. She MIGHT say yes. She might say no. But you have (1) asked her out, (2) shown some interest and most importantly (3) established some form of connection in terms of conversation with her.
If she says no ... leave it a while. Then if you are still keen on her, give it a go later. You are in no worse a position, and possibly better.
